My GTPP will out run it on a road course. Thanks for playing.

Maybe you can caress your friend that has the HC and make him feel better when he watches that video of the GTPP beating it by a second around that track.

Maybe, maybe not. The Hellcat handles pretty well. Not as well as a GT350/GT350R or Z28, but it still handles. (I would love a GT350R car.)
But, a GTPP will definitely not beat the HC in a straight line. The GT will get beaten. Beaten bad too. :eyebulge:

It's going to take more skill and experience doing a fast lap in a hellcat than a GT. Ben Treynor HAD a charger hellcat for I believe 4 months before he sold it. He said the car really has trouble putting the power down. Ben is a skilled driver, he put down a 1:30 at laguna in a mclaren P1 (Randy put down 1:29). He also owns a gt350 and an R.

Anyways, both equal drivers, the GTPP will be putting down quicker lap times. The hellcat is the true 1 trick pony. That used to be the title for the gt500, but even that car puts down better lap times. Fuck skidpad numbers. Omg my friend did 1.02g! Hnnnnnng

Go to fastestlaps.com, in the tracks that both have done laps, the GTPP is ahead.

The Hellcat drive train can handle much more than

IMO without real rear tires and aero, the Hellcat is a cartoon car. Obviously the engineers didn't care to make it actually perform to its potential. Maybe they didn't want to beef up the drivetrain enough to handle 707 HP, and that's why it's so under-tired. Or they didn't want to go through the effort of making the wheel tubs larger?

You can say they are both performance cars, but IMO the GT350 is a much more serious car as it comes from the factory. The other equipment on the car is designed to match up with the engine. It isn't just a big engine dumped into whatever existing car is available. Of course Ford could have done more (light weighting with more aluminum in the BIW comes to mind), but IMO the changes to the GT350 are very significant.

I've never driven one, but it seems to me like the HC is more for looking good than actual high performance. I realize lots of people buy GT350s or any other car more to look good than for any other reason, but the GT350 CAN perform if someone decides to use it that way.

To be fair, buyers of the Hellcat can use the factory equipment as a starting point and put the largest, stickiest tires possible (especially in the rear) on it and make it into less of a smoke generator and more a serious performance car. The engine has a lot of potential if the rest of the equipment is upgraded to match.
the 707 HP (which is less than many dyno's indicate). They did a hell of a job engineering this car to take all that power. Anyone who tracks a Challenger adds fatter tires. You can easily add 315's. Any larger needs a fender pull. I have friends who track 392's. If they are serious, they get better tires, add strut braces, subframe connectors and lower the car on better coilover shocks. The car is big.....

But does alright. Challenger owners did not buy them to be solely track cars. They are multi purpose cars that can go on a track. As for strait line performance, I would race a GTPP in my SRT with confidence. I run 305's in the rear (275's front). I don't know anyone who drag races or races on curved tracks that uses stock tires. I also do not know any serious 392 or HC drivers who are unable to keep the tires from breaking loose. Just need to get used to all that Q. The best thing a Challenger does is LONG drives. 6 hours in the seat will not cause any aches. With sport mode off, the car has a very nice ride.

Straight, stop, turns or not the hellcat is crazy fast rolling and sounds amazing. One rolled up and absolutely blew my doors off. I'd still rather have my GT, but if your looking to put a big grin on your face I'm sure the hellcat will deliver.
