Yes, it's geared towards the absolute beginner. But that said, it was still a lot of fun for me and I'd consider myself fairly experienced.
Nice. Other than street racing as a teenage kid, which ironically I despise as an adult 20 years later, I have never driven on a track.

I'm definitely in for this.

I have attended schools at the park when it was Miller Motorsports Park and this is a great place for a novice to learn how to drive on a track. That is what it is all about!
After you get some training, you will be hooked!
It looks like TheLeftSchuh is from Portland, OR area. They have great tracks in that area also.
It certainly seems like another expensive hobby that's right up my alley!

(The wife will be thrilled...)

Wow. This is a huge bonus. Never heard of such a program. Hopefully it's on. My only experience was attending the BMW M school when I had my M3 (an "abbreviated" program for CCA members), but this looks a bit more involved. Glad to hear it's geared towards the novice folks.

Didn't read the whole thread but I assume all events were on work days, not weekends, correct?

I *think* there were some Saturdays, but they were mostly random weekdays.

Weekends usually are reserved for larger events that pay bigger money to the track than the high-performance driving events. Plus, many of the school instructors race on the weekends. Working at a driving school may be their regular job, but it's not their best job!

I just looked at the boss schedule, some Fridays were there but without the 2nd day option. Otherwise Mon, Tues, or Wed start.

I enjoyed the Boss Track Attack but I doubt I'll do this one. Even though it's "free" you still have to get there and sleep. Anyone who has done any track days elsewhere will find this one pretty light-duty.

Anyone considering, PLEASE just do it! I went in 2013 for Boss Track Attack, did 2nd day with FR500s, and then did the Raptor 1/2 day. Still talk about it. Made it a 2 week trip, did those 3 days at miller and then did "Tour of Utah" and visited the 5 national parks in the state. Arches, Canyonlands, Capitol Reef, Bryce Canyon, Zion. Once in a lifetime, life changing trip. You will not regret it. Looking back, the only thing I wish we did was do the raptor full day. Granted, this can get pricey, but to me this was about more than money. one of those life experiences that is hard to put a $ value on.

i did boss track attack at Miller...
we did the one day, but only spent 4 days in SLC.
was a win win for both of us...spent the thurs evening and all day fri at Miller
then visited the island in the lake, the Air Force Base in Ogden, and drove to the
salt flats....everything was a great experience. i never driven cars that fast or in "race" conditions so i was a beginner....i am glad we took the trip....i still remember everything and gave me a more appreciation how to drive the boss....but then it can get me in trouble wanting to push to the limits sometimes...but cooler heads prevail...
still if you can afford the airfare and hotel definitely do it. just for the experience!

At the Boss TA one of the instructors was a NASCAR driver. As he was orienting us to the facility he mentioned that the restrooms were "bisexual." I enjoyed that.

Okay folks. Hit reload on gt350trackattack.com. There's some content there and lo and behold... everything is confirmed. Will be held at Utah Motorsports Campus (formerly Miller). Registration opens in a week or two and the program commences in April.
