Hey guys! I see that the track attack program is happening for the GT350s. I just wanted to put a suggestion out there. GT350R production is apparently waiting for warmer weather to really ramp up. Some of us ordered GT350Rs quite a long time ago and are still waiting for VIN numbers and build dates. As I understand it, you can't register for the track attack program until you actually own your car (based on info I got from the previous Boss 302 program). Would you guys consider putting something in place that would allow us R owners that are waiting for cars to still get slots for the track attack program? My wife and I would both like to attend. Thanks as always. Jeff
Great move. Stay with this and you might get some movement or at least a plan put in place where Ford has the school reserve 1 spot each week for R owners.:cheers::cheers:

I strongly suggest you put in a call to Ford Performance and discuss the issue. Ford does listen, you gotta stay polite and calmly express yourself and be persistent.

I'm in!

I don't know about the Boss programs, but I do know that GM gave a school to owners of the ZR1 when they bought one new. Is this going to be similar?

They replied with:

Jeff, we can check with the program manager but it is probably safe to bet that this program will be for owners. Imagine if we pulled a prospective customer ahead, they participated in the track event and then backed out of the sale. Now we have an issue for the next owner. Thanks for your understanding.

I replied with:

That's understandable. Consider all of the buyers who ordered and have been waiting for your most expensive model, GT350R. Imagine those buyers never getting the opportunity to participate. I'm not suggesting that you allow unconfirmed buyers to the program - just pointing out that this would be frustrating and hoping you guys can figure something out to help prevent this.

Just a heads up. Registration will open to the public next week.

I'll be part of the first run of it on April 4th and opting for the second day April 5th. *humblebrag*

How do we get in before the public?
Can't seem to get signed up anywhere and I get my car on Friday.

So what track will you be on in April and how many tracks will Ford be setting aside during the year for each of the owners including the R model owners?

I am registered for April 4th also. Called the number at the bottom of the gt350tractattack.com page.
They required VIN#, Dealer name and City.
Still debating doing the second day in either the regular GT or Boss. I think either will be a disappointment after driving the GT350.
I have many track days when it was Miller Motor Sports, so I don't know that the additional $1500 - $1800 will be worth it.

Also need to figure out how to change my name on here. No longer a Roush Driver

I'm thinking I may take this opportunity to check off some bucket list items. Thinking I'll go in May and fly to Denver CO. Then take the scenic drive (I70) through the Rockies and to Arches National Park Utah. Stay a night there and then head to Salt Lake for the GT350 track day. Any thoughts such as May not being an ideal time for these destinations?

Pretty nice drive. Another would be down I 25to Pueblo then west to Grand Junction to pick up I 70. Meandering but really scenic.

Anyone know what the cost is for an additional day and/or adding a guest to participate also?
