And what if we are still waiting on our cars?
When I did it for the Boss, they asked for your VIN, purchase date and dealer info. I'd imagine you can't register until you've officially bought the car, but once registration opens, you can probably talk to them if you have a delivery date. They're nice folks over there at FRS, I'd imagine the same staff carries over, but I'm not sure.

Well like most people who have ordered and R, I'm still waiting on even the VIN. Maybe this is an indication that they expect the builds to start commencing?

I'd imagine once the weather starts warming up, so too will the flood gates of R production.

Absolutely cannot wait to do this. If I can get the class around my birthday might have to make a few days vacation around it in May.

Any guesses on what it will cost?
Hoping its on par with the Boss program

The single-day program is free for owners. You just need to get yourself out there. There are optional things like a second day, guest add-on and insurance that cost if you want them.

WARNING

Based upon my experience with the Boss program (late 2012 buy) You need to own the car to register. Order don't mean squat-you gotta own it.

Slots fill FAST. More cars sold then slots, which makes sense as not everyone is interested in a driving school. Despite what people on this site believe the vast majority of GT350s will never touch a racetrack. Do the math guys...10 school cars...2 or 3 dates per week...that is 20-30 students per week and they do not run every week of the year.

Back to my point--only open date for me was in the middle of August in the Utah desert. Picture this: 110 in the shade and your sitting in a drivers suit and full face helmet. Get it.

Spend the bucks and take the second day!

As soon as you are able REGISTER!!! No you can't hold dates while you think about it...or while you try to organize with 3 other forum guys. When registration opens move on it.

Oh if it is like the Boss program you have 1 yr from car purchase to take the class. But that doesn't mean you can sit and think about it. Buyers in front of you and new buyers behind you are gonna be grabbing dates.

BUT what about the GT350R buyers with their late builds. Potentially thousands of regular GT350 buyers are out there grabbing the best dates. YEP!!! They are gonna get hosed on the good dates (cooler spring and fall). But hell... If your were able to track down an R no smypathy here...go pay for a private program..lol

Many R buyers got their orders in very early and are getting built last. I hope they do something to account for this.

Just sent this message to FP via Facebook:

Hey guys! I see that the track attack program is happening for the GT350s. I just wanted to put a suggestion out there. GT350R production is apparently waiting for warmer weather to really ramp up. Some of us ordered GT350Rs quite a long time ago and are still waiting for VIN numbers and build dates. As I understand it, you can't register for the track attack program until you actually own your car (based on info I got from the previous Boss 302 program). Would you guys consider putting something in place that would allow us R owners that are waiting for cars to still get slots for the track attack program? My wife and I would both like to attend. Thanks as always. Jeff
