On a GT350 IM is a must IMO. I've been running a 350 IM with an adapter to fit a 80mm TB. Today I rigged up a cai and installed said 87mm TB. What a world of midrange difference. I have a fairly solid tune except for a slight skip off idle. I may need some professional tuning help for this. I am going to try a few things first. I should get some full throttle hits tonight to see if it is flowing more top end air.

So far I'm happy.

This explains the seat of pants midrange boost. It's actually pressurizing the IM, if I can believe the log. I have a mechanical gauge I'll use to verify.

I didn't see a change in MAP using an external sensor with a gt350 tb on 2018 mani.

Back to back logs, within the hour to try and keep any weather/baro consistent.

Curious if the gt350 mani will.

I now know why the tuners took so long to figure this TB out. I have it about 90% but that last 10 is kicking my ass.

I'm not seeing any increase in airflow but my 60 to 120 avg dropped by just over 1 second.

I switch depending on if I'm tracking or not.

Not having much joy with this TB. I hit a wall with my tuning knowlage. Back to school for me.

Just out of curiosity, are you using the GT350 throttle table ?
Yea, I've used files from a 17 GT350, also the 17 FRPP3 power pack. Both work sort of.

I have a slight dead spot in the throttle off idle, it takes off normal then jumps like I floor it, then settles down back to normal. I also have some surging at low RPM high load areas. Like going up a slight hill in 5th or 6th gear under 2000 RPM

It was a used TB, hope I'm not trying to tune a turd......

FWIW I had the GT350 tb and cai on my 17, running a 93 AED tune with an 18 manifold and had the same issues. I didn't like it after driving it off and on for a month so went back to the stock tb and it ran perfectly...

You'll need to do a full write to the frpp strategy. I think it's like 6 credits. It will enable the boxes you can't access on your stock tune.

You'll need to do a full write to the frpp strategy.
This seems to be the answer. Question is is it worth it dollar wise?

I think it's worth it since you enjoy tuning.
I'm reading everything I can on TB tuning......and my head hurts. LOL

This is going to take awhile to sink in.
