Hello Everyone, new member here..
I just picked up 2016 gt350 track pack with 14k miles.Previously I owned 03 s281 that I sold in 2010.
I drove the gt350 for 5hrs and notice that I have to stay alert with both hands on the steering wheel. The car jumps right or left depanding on the road. People recommend lower g-brace, but will this really benefit on regular daily driving. What can I do to improve this situation???

Are you sure you haven't found a bad road with horrible crowning, like the fourth world-grade middle lane of I95 north of NY? That's the only road where my 16 GT350 tramlines a bit. It's such a ghetto road that even my wife's explorer tramlines a bit. Everywhere else the steering has been scalpel-sharp.

What tires are on the car? Is it running a lot of negative camber? (are there camber plates on the strut mounts under the hood?)

It's just the way these cars handle, every GT350 is this way (I eagerly await the chorus of "Not Mine!" that is sure to follow). The wide front tires tend to follow any imperfection in the road surface. It's called tram-lining, I believe.

Tramlining. It can get pretty bad. It takes some getting used to but you will get used to it. Just give it time. Nothing is "wrong" with the car, per say.

Check the tires, especially the very inside edge. My initial set lasted 20,000 miles, but as they wore down, the tramlining got worse and worse. When I put on new tires, the car felt transformed. Now that my second set is getting worn, the tramlining is starting to come back.

You may also check into an alignment, to see if something is out of whack. Often times excessive toe can lead to that feeling of instability (and more negative camber can do that as well, as others have mentioned).

2017 GT350 now gone to a great home.
It’s less noticeable on my car with a lower tire pressure. Like 30 cold.
Still noticeable and annoying especially on bad roads. You get used to it.

Get used to it. Cars w these wide ass front tires are going to follow the road imperfections. Aka tram-lining. At the track, the car performs very well and is very easy to control. Don’t worry :)

Being that it is a used performance car that costs a decent penny I think a check of suspension alignment would be a good idea. Won't cost much and gives you some peace of mind that the everything is in the correct position for road driving. As others have said, depending on the road and tire's (tire condition) tramlining is expected with this car.

Yep. The steering is very jumpy on bad road surface. Having this sensitive setting Is great for the track but this is the first modern car I have that ... I wish the steering can be a bit numb on the street.

Sometimes I feel like someone is driving the car with me LOL.
It is really setup for a track, smooth sweepers etc.

None of us wanted a "road" car, at least I didn't.
It is a track car you can drive on the street, with all of the drawbacks.

My M3 was "hyper" like that as well, not as bad though.
My Audi 4wd A5 feels like a train on rails, not really that engaging, but smooth as all hell.

The Mustang is what it is, when you buckle up, get ready LOL

I’ll start! But seriously...my stock PSS’s did it like crazy like everyone else. With no other changes or mods (alignment, lowering, etc) swapping to Conti Extreme Contact Sports (the new one) completely, 100% eliminated tramlining on every road I was getting it on with the Michelin’s.
