Good morning guys and HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL OF YOU!!

I love mustang GTs and my favorite is the GT350...for obvious reasons. I am planning to buy a GT soon but there is something that I need "ideas and opinions" as far as ....here we go:

I am NOT planning to track the car, would it be wise/practical to buy a GT350 or should I get the GT with the PP2 package for example or another mustang? What is your take on this ?
Thanks

Rather than get a bunch of opinions on a GT350 forum which is going to recommend the GT350, decide which car works best for you and what you can afford. Having said that, the GT350 is more of a second car IMO while the GT is a better everyday car.

Always depends on your plans. Are you going to want more power in the future, are you buying new or used? Answer these and it will be easier to help

Drive them both. If your not tracking the car the PP2 might be overkill too. I drive them all and the Gt350 just felt special to me in terms of driving feel, exhaust, shifter, etc.

Get a Magneride car if at all possible. Unless you're just chomping to replace suspension.

It will be a new car.
Can the gt350 be a daily driver? Some people, in this forum, say it is, but at the end you do not get to "enjoy the power" of the gt350 car until you get to 7 or 8k rpm.
If a PP2 might be an overkill too then.....What is my option? I am looking for that sound and power that can be use as a daily driver.

You can enjoy the power wherever you want as long as the law ain't around lol. They are great daily drivers. The pp2 and gt350 both come with cup2 tires which are great in warm weather but suck in cold and rain. You will not regret buying a gt350 cause it's a great car.

I love my GT350 as a daily driver. The Magnetic ride suspension and different driving modes (normal, sport, track, weather, etc) really work.

Find a big dealer who has a PP1, PP2, and GT350 and drive them all and buy what you like. They are all good options, but for me the GT350 really stood out.

Couldn't agree more. I'm in my mid 50's and love the 350 on the weekends but it would get tiresome on a daily basis for me.

I agree. All are fun cars to drive for sure! The GT350 is special in my opinion. Your asking the question on a GT350 forum
and I believe the majority of us are going to say the same thing. If you ask the same question on the GT forum you’ll get different opinions! It really doesn’t matter what anyone thinks. The only thing that matters is what you like and can afford after driving them. Get what makes you happy, it’s impossible to please or impress everybody! Please yourself. If you get to drive all those cars it will be crystal clear which one YOU like. What ever you get post a picture, I’d like to know what you choose. Good luck.

it really boils down to do you want to spend 40 grand or 55-60 grand?

I was never really interested in the GT. It was GT350 only. I drive it as much as I can. 2.5 years of ownership and 18k miles. I’d have no problem DD’ing it.

Sublime1996525,
Driving it as much as you can in terms of gas consumption.....I know that there are a lot of factors that play into the final # such as how hard you drive it, city/highway miles, gas type etc...whats your average mpg? Is it really "bad" in your opinion?

That’s why bought a barely used 2018 GT 350 with 1400 miles and the majority of the warranty left. $48K and change. I just missed out on a private sale 2017 GT350 in perfect condition and less than 5K miles for $42K. Pretty sure he would have taken $41K.
