GT PP detune in low gears?

I just tried holding the tc switch and the advance traction was turned off and it made a huge difference. There didn't seem to be interfence when I did a hard launch with lots of wheel spin in 1st and 2nd.

this worked for me: when already in track mode, all I had to do was tap the traction control switch, no holding necessary.

What is it thats "in the tune"? First I am hearing of this so I'm curious. This isnt the cat temp. save deal is it?

Its not the cat overtemp dumping fuel. Its a clutch protection strategy or as some call it abuse mode. Must be disabled in the tune.

That should really only be noticed with drag tires. With street tires and all the nannies turned off the car should be able to roast the tires off. I think the OP simply had traction control intervention. People assume Track Mode turns off traction control but it really only loosens it's parameters.

Yea it sounds like advanced track kicking in, just hold the traction control toggle till advanced track turns off. I experienced the "intrusion"a couple times but if you turn advanced track off, the nannies are off. With exception to any torque management that Ford may have put in the stock tune

No its definitely a strategy in the tune, kills the power down to about 30 percent all of first and second then allows full power when you hit third, doesnt matter what tires at all, if the conditions are met it goes to that strategy. You can turn everything off it will have zero effect on the strategy. This is nothing new, some just dont experience it because of the way they drive the car.

But I guess if people want to keep blaming the traction control for another three pages then so be it....hahahaha

Please show us this strategy...I'd like to see some real information I it. A car doesn't have a sub 5 seconds 0 to 60 having only 30% power in 1st and 2nd

Do you have sct pro racer package or hptuners? It can be accessed thru them.

No I don't, so please share some data because a 30% power scenario makes no sense with this car. I'm not saying there isn't some tq management with this car in Lower gears, which I'd be surprised if there isn't but that number is a bit drastic

It can only be changed thru that software, any good tuner can do it.

Understand what I wrote though, it only will go to that strategy if certain condtions are met, that is why some people never expierence it. If the car thinks you are slipping the clutch just a bit too much in the launch it will severely reduce power to help protect the drivetrain, some have called it abuse mode.
