It doesn't let me make it to 60 in second. I've tried it and it's hits the rev limiter before its done with collections data or what ever is on the screen. The only way to finish the run is make the 2-3 shift.

I have a GT PP and do not have the RPM capabilities to reach 60 mph without shifting to third gear. With that in mind, I would wager a small bet that the 3.55 geared cars have the best 0-60 mph times.

If the aftermarket tunes can safely allow a few more RPM before the rev limimter, the 0-60 mph runs could be accomplished without the 2 to 3 shift and would most likely improve the times.

Have a good day!

I think its more of an issue with the software thats collecting the data. The numbers don't like as far as what speed is available in each gear. In other words I don't care what the TFT display says. You should be able to hit 60mph with the PP in 2nd gear.

BTW, whats max rpm with the 2015 5.0L? I assumed its 6800rpm.

Thats one thing if I ever got rid of my E92 M3 is revving that bitch out to 8400rpm, 8600rpm with software.

There was a post on this before but the PP hits rev limiter at 57 58.

Just a heads up everyone for some reason our pp cars have an incorrect speedo. Waze has me going about 2mph faster than my speedo at typical speeds. In reality it's about 2.5% off, at least on mine. Then again the dyno still showed accurate speeds so I don't know.

Those numbers definitely aren't correct. 5th gear does not go to 150. I hit redline at about 142

Then Ford changed the gear ratios they are listing on their website for the 5.0L Mustang GT. Also keep in mind at 150mph there can be as much as 5% error. So 142mph could very well be 150mph.

I tried several calculators and they all came out the same.

Even the dyno I was on topped out in the low 140s

Your not hitting 60 in 2nd gear period unless u can run the rpms out a bit more with a tune, but without the tune the only way to 60 is to shift Into 3rd.Also different states will get better times as the pp tires work much better the hotter they are, but if u really want to nail a 60 foot or 0 to 60 drag radials would really help.

Second is about 58... Not sure on first. I will look next time. Got a 5.3 tonight with tons of wheel spin in first but really pushed the power down through it. I think the 71 degrees helped but I think a few more degrees will help push into the 4's but I still can't see stock PP's getting 4.4's anytime soon.

1800 miles GT PP here did few highway merges on 2nd gear and hit the rev limiter right above 60 mph. The 62 mph for 2nd gear seems about right. Interestingly Car and Driver compared the gt pp with Challenger and 1le. The car did 0-150 in freaking 25.4 seconds on i believe 5th gear. Henessey has a video on youtube and they shift a little early right around 143mph to sixth gear and the car took forever to reach 150 mph. So something doesn't seem right. I don't know whats going on:shrug:

I have never been able to get over 60 with 2nd gear with my GT PP. I have banged the rev limiter a few times trying.
