What is your take on the engine differences that the mode switch positions produce? Any performance enhancements besides, throttle by wire response.

Zero performance improvement. Meaning no HQ or TQ increase.

It could just be a perception thing, but definitely felt a throttle response difference when in track mode.

Huge throttle response difference when in snow/rain mode. Feathers throttle/power application to rear to decrease risk of traction loss.

Other modes (Sport/track) provide crisper response to pedal input.

I agree with this as well. Very surprised in the difference with the rain/snow setting. Makes driving the car so much easier in the rain.

I have been daily driving my car this winter and many times am driving down the road before I remember to set Snow/Wet mode. As soon as I change it while not driving aggresively because I am on snow/ice you feel the car slow significantly at the same throttle input. You also can not get the rear to kick out on ice/snow in this mode but the yellow squiggly burn out light starts flashing letting you know the car is being your baby sitter.

Modes change the AT shift program, and they change the throttle response in both AT/MT. Also changes traction control parameters but you won't feel that until you are really pressing. NO performance change, and no shock absorber tweaking, though that would be cool.

When you shift the transmission into S, the Drive Mode gives you three options Sport, Sport+ or Track.

What is the difference between Sport and Sport+?

I can't tell much difference.

Yes the different modes change the throttle mapping. In sport 10% throttle may equal 25% throttle body opening where in snow/rain, 10% throttle equals 5% throttle opening.
