I am thinking of pulling the trigger on some wheels for street driving only; would there be any issue to go square setup?
It is purely for longevity of the tires, so I can rotate; I would go 305/30 all around.

Anyone has done it, and if yes, did you notice any major change in handling?

Thanks

I would. I regret not going square when I bought my wheels, should have just went with my guts.

I did this too. No issues except you have to change the front hubs to the longer ā€œRā€ studs, and buy a 25mm spacer to get the front offset to match the back. Then you can rotate the wheels/tires front to rear with ease.
The Moog part number is 513405 (Rock Auto has them for $175). When you look at the part from Moog, you will see it has a Ford part number on it....

Thanks, but I have an "R", so I should be all set with the studs? All I need is a set of 25mm spacers for up front...

I run a square setup on street and track I didn't noticed any difference. If you are pushing hard enough to notice you are driving way too quickly on the street.

Sorry, had to.

I ordered a square setup to be able to rotate tires. I doubt there would be any difference on the street as you should be no where near the limits; however, I don’t know this I until I try it tomorrow lol.

The big question is are you going square or square rotatable?
Honestly, I don't see the point in going square if it is not rotatable... I am definitely getting 4 identical wheels, and put identical tires on them :) , spacer up front.

Reducing rear tire poke, better tire options, wider front track, less weight and cheaper consumables if you plan to drive often. Some guys track or auto cross semi-frequently and don’t want to mess with the spacer/studs. Rotating side to side is good enough. The FP350S and GT4 are actually built with an 18x11 square that is non-rotatable. Lots of good reasons for both setups.

In either case you will be good.
