WHP aside, Edgewater track here in Ohio with a DA +2400FT is garbage. No such thing as track prep there....ever. But it's all we have in the immediate area.

I was there with Evil 5.0 and my car was trapping 3-4mph under. We raced each other 7 times and sometimes he would win, sometimes I would. His drag radials were brand new so he was working on getting the right pressure and launch technique down. The car was getting faster and faster with each run. With some more wheel time and better air, you will all see his mph improve drastically.
Thanks GTBOB!

To address the question... I'm sure it will trap way more in the spring and fall. Do you understand DA? July air vs fall and corrected et? Speeds will come up, that's why GTBOB and I was "testing" his car has at least around 450-460whp and 100lbs lighter. We wanted to compare apples to apples and that's what we did. The one time they sprayed the track, the car gained 3 tenths instantly. The tires are starting to feather and break in. Excuses, no... just the facts. Heck we was getting wheelspin hitting 4th verified by logs lol

Just for more comparison, GTBOB has been [email protected] in good air with stock intake, so that may help you factor weather in.

If you are on e85 the car won't pick up much trap with DA change. My results from a DA change of almost 3,000 change netted 1mph.

Thought I would give you all update. 11.7@120 with a 2400 DA (corrects to 11.43@124). Race weight was 3980, yes she is HeAvY! Working on getting the tires broke in and proper launch techniques, it a whole new game but progressing steadily.

Some bias ply slicks will do wonders for your car right now.

I would agree, but waiting for the air to get better and may try to get GTBOB to switch me for a run or so! /cough cough/

I'm going to the track again tomorrow hopefully. I've only cut a 1.71 60ft so far, but I was running 18psi in the tires. I'm gonna drop it to 13ish tomorrow. My best run so far was 11.91 @ 118mph. DA was 2800-2600. It dropped to 1800 later that night and my buddy picked up 2 tenths. I stopped running since I'm pushing my luck with the stock drivetrain. I'm hoping to get in to the 11.70s without weight reduction.

What exactly are you guys taking out or changing when talking about weight reduction? I know about wheels, brakes and driveshafts. Outside of gutting the car what else is there? I have the wheels covered and will get to driveshaft. When the rotors are done lighter two piece rotors will go in. I want to lose more weight but I can't lose too much more DD quality.

Leather heated and cooled passenger seat plus the back seat is 85 lbs. 10 minutes to remove. Another 13ish lbs if you have a subwoofer. Almost 100lbs right there.

I have some updates. Been working with Lund on my AT tune as I was having some shift issues.

I'm using Race Logic to measure my times and I can see 0.3-0.4s improvement. Best I can do with cams is 12.1s and I was consistently doing 12.5 before.
There's also 0.4s improvement in 100-200 kph time.

Normal street tires with normal pressure, stock converter, on regular road.

Progress was made tonight. I didn't even worry about cooling the car, drove it straight off the street and hot lapped it. 12.07, 11.74 and then a 11.57@121.

I guess things don't happen the first time out, but hopefully I continue to get faster.

1.64 on a 19" DR at a rough track was the best part!
11.5@121s.webp
