Don’t take offense but all I can hear is someone in a deep West Virginian accent when I read this for some reason šŸ˜‚
I can assure you that my accent couldn't be more different than West Virginian šŸ™‚

I get it. You want/need a vehicle with real world capacities so wisely got an ICE.
No, you don’t get it.
The EV vehicles that meet our capacity requirements exist. The issue is that the dealerships that support them don’t exist within several hundred miles of where we live.

This new crackdown on semi-trucks could save thousands of lives (msn.com)
Hello; Another part of the agenda. Sort of backdoor. Much like the actions taken during Covid there very likely will be consequences. Also much like Covid those making the fateful decisions are focused on a narrow range of things.
We are currently living thru the aftermath of those covid decisions. At the time a cry was don't worry about the economy, public health is worth anything. Much the same thinking appears to be happening with the "green +EV" agendas.
Using an old cliche, I hope we are not burning down the house to rid ourselves of a pest.

Hello; Again, I understand what you did. I understand why you did it. I even understand why you insist on painting the action as something other than what it is. Recently Bill Maher told his audience that he "took one for the team" by buying first a hybrid and later an EV. He continued by saying they were both ____ cars or some such. Afraid I do not get his program so only saw a news replay.

You did good. Be proud and enjoy the ICE. I and perhaps others will expect you to continue to talk the talk as you have so often before.

Meanwhile, the 10th best selling car in the US in February was the Tesla Model 3. It sold 14,000 units less than the best selling car in the month of February. That was the Tesla Model Y. Eked out the win by just a couple hundred units over the F-Series pickup.

Hello; More evidence the lockdowns themselves may turn out to be worse than the Covid disease. A similar mind set appears to be among the "green" and EV agenda supporters. So many things dismissed as "misinformation" during Covid have proven to have been correct and on point. Even so some Covid champions still persist and push the discredited agenda. I figure the same will happen among the "Green" and BEV champions.
Try to not get me wrong on this. Fighting disease and pollution are in themselves proper goals to have.
Too many got locked into a path during Covid and would not listen to voices with legit concerns. Somehow things such as natural immunity, known for decades, no longer counted. Now any legit concerns about the green & EV push are similarly being dismissed.

An interesting thing to me is during the covid back and forth opposing groups were prominent. Now during the Green & EV back and forth the same two groups have wound up on opposite sides again. We have some new voices to be sure, but the same ones who put me down for my stance on natural immunity now put me down for my stance on EV's and the green agenda. Figures doesn't it.

Lockdown’s cancer bomb may soon be worse than Covid itself (msn.com)

ā€œThe hands of NHS cancer staff – who are among the best in the world – are being tied behind their backs and criticism is not encouraged. NHS management should be hauled in front of Parliament tomorrow to explain themselves. For when I read statements from various politicians and NHS England sources, I’m appalled by the spin and sheer refusal to accept how dire the situation is. Meaningless word salad, created by highly paid PR managers, is spouted out at the taxpayer’s expense simply to protect reputations rather than benefit patients. ā€œ

ā€œThe big unspoken truth in British politics is that an almost two-year long lockdown experiment was the greatest policy mistake in my lifetime.ā€

ā€œDisrupting the cancer screening of young, otherwise healthy, people was scandalous. But will that ever be accepted by an establishment which threw its incomparable weight behind the measures? Not a chance, nor will the discussion even take place. Instead, cancer patients will be used as a political football by all parties to further their own ambitions. ā€œ

ā€œThe swathes of NHS spin doctors can stay at home and leave it to those with a background in medicine or strategy. Let’s get those best qualified to debate and devise future options.ā€

Don’t forget Texas falls in that category toošŸ˜‚
Reminds my of the funniest regional dealer commercial I’ve ever seen. Must’ve been about 30 years ago, I was in a hotel in OKC. The Chevy Dealers association ran this ad.

Two guys at the Oklahoma / Texas border sitting in the beds of their pickup trucks. The Okie is in a Chevy, the Texan is in a Ford.

Okie: My ranch is so big it takes me a couple hours to get from one end to the other

Tex: Psssh! That’s nuthin’. It takes me a day and a half.

Okie: I know the feelin’. I useta drive a Ford, too.

Are Solid-State Batteries the EV Solution We Think They Are? (msn.com)
Hello; Some useful information. Thought about quoting the negative aspects just to see the possible comebacks. Maybe later.
Another "someday maybe" sort of thing. Sorta like when we modify an ICE to perform better it cost more. Customer- I want to go faster. mechanic- How much money do you have?
Customer - I want a lighter, high energy density fast charge battery. Mechanic - How much money do you have?

Hello; Seems many commercial charging stations are not making money. Government funding helps but still they are not making money.
Most people so far are charging at home. Duh. Makes sense as that is the only practical way so far. We have had posted several links to stories about how public pay chargers cost more than ICE fueling.
Guess Johnny on the 5th floor is still driving an ICE since they cannot have a private charger. I suppose the EV champions cannot wait for the EV only sale mandates to kick in. Can't happen fast enough to help the agenda.

Some things likely are going to happen. One already has been happening for over two years. That being the various ways the cost of gas and diesel has been driven up. If pay electric charging is too expensive, then make the alternatives more expensive. We all get to suffer from these policies and have been doing so. On top of things already done I have been reading about new EPA regulations intended to punish ICE manufacturers. That the high cost of diesel is hurting us badly with transport costs does not seem to matter to the true believers.

Another is to take more money out of our pockets to give to electric pay charger companies to help make them solvent. Not a new thing just more of our money added to the scheme. Should i say added to the national debt.
By the way the US dollar is at risk currently. Some countries are now trading using currencies other than the US dollar. Happening in the oil patch for sure. Once the US dollar is no longer the fiat currency of the world the treasury can no longer just print money out of thin air. Also, will not be able to sell the treasury notes to fund deficit spending. Argentina levels of inflation here we come.
