I tried to get a video but it’s hard to hear. But In another post “Front end suspension clunking” someone replied with having the same problem and it being a ball joint in the tension link. I ordered new steeda tension links so hopefully that’s the issue. If that is the fix I’m happy but I would expect the OEM tension links to last more than 20k.

@86pagt whats the tension link?

I know for certain mine is brakes. Just can’t for the life of me figure out how. I’m putting all new Z26 pads in this weekend and see what happens.

It sucks butt trying to trouble shoot stuff like this when you can’t recreate it on a lift or even stationary. :angry:

This sentence describes my day to day life at work, uncanny. Customers are never so understanding. Anyway, you may be able to notice some “witness marks” where either paint or brake dust or something may be wearing off due to the the repeated contact when the noise occurs. Look for something shiny that shouldn’t be. Also rust marks in strange places could be a clue for the same reason. You might not see it until you take it apart unfortunately. If you can find where the noise is coming from, you then can figure out what’s needed to remedy the problem.

When bleeding the brakes, do you guys do anything cosmic or different? I mean, fluid flush is just a fluid flush, right? I use my Motive pressure bleeder around 15psi or so. Everything works great; open the bleeder, fluid flows, close the bleeder. Nothing can or should be done at the master cyl or the anti-skid manifold? Just thinking out loud here.

Cosmetic? Uh..

The motive bleeder seems to top off the resevoir just fine so no, change fluild and rinse the motive with denatured alcohol before putting it away. Torque wheels. Pump brakes to firm up and jank the e brake a few times before rolling off so your first stop doesn’t leave a brown mark on the seat.

Since the wheels are off you can take that chance to clean the insides of your barrels I guess. Cleaning the calipers is a fools errand.
