I bought a gas tank for my 2015 V6. They sent one for a GT and it seems (the garage says) it is different and there is no vent. Is this true? Is there a way to make it work?

It sucks getting the wrong part, but the best thing you can do is return it and get the correct item.

Anything involving the fuel system: use the correct parts.

Does the V6 car have the capless filler tube?

They agreed to a refund, I pay return shipping very cool.
They did say something about a push in cent for the gas tank, said it was very easy.
Has anyone heard of this?

I don't know about the '15 convertible but on the '18 the tank is 1/2 gallon smaller than the GT. The GT has a 16 gallon tank and the convertible is a 15.5 gallon tank. So I don't think it's just a vent different.
Edit; it seems the 15.5 gallon tank may just be for the EB...

Also, i think the above list is wrong at least in reference to the gas cap. I'm pretty sure all our Mustangs use a capless system.

I thought the same (gas cap), but it was in the exploded view.
Pointing out the other parts associated, filling the tank.

2015 3.7 > don't know this is the car listed, profile.

Yeah, I'd dispute the return cost also, he should ask for an RMA.

Sometimes it is the wording that matters.
