G2 Caliper Paint

Painting my calipers today. Putting decals on and looking to get advice on whether a clear coat is suggested for after the decal goes on. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Clear would protect the decal, but not really necessary.
The factory Brembo decals are not cleared over.

I've done G2 on several cars, never used clear and never had an issue with high temperature decals.

I made decals for my painted G2 calipers last summer out of high temp 3m vinyl and they are still looking great without clear.

Here was mine and how I did the g2
Still looked perfect til I sold it. Was super easy to clean too. Never had any issues with chipping or cracking.

imo key is cleanliness and dust free environment, I personally just kept rotating to next one in a circle with foam brush and put down nice heavy coats and it rolled:smoothed evenly for most part.

Just don’t use the crap brush they supply with the kit. Prep is key!!!!!

Just make sure the calipers are prepped right. Super clean. Paint will peel if it's not clean.
