I would like to paint my non performance pack calipers ruby red, but I am having trouble finding color matched aerosol paint. All the kits I am coming across are brush kits. As I am going to remove the calipers and install stainless steel lines I want the superior finish of a spray paint as apposed to a brush paint... Any suggestion will help. If Ruby Red is just not an option in aerosol I will paint them gloss black. There are lots of options in aerosol in that color, but any suggestions of a good brand would be appreciated as well. Thank you!

If you're removing the calipers go ahead and get them powder coated.

Not sure about spray but G2 is some really good stuff even brushed. I believe they can also mix custom colors.

Thank you Nate! Did you get yours powder coated? What was the downtime? I heard that there can be issues with calipers once they are re-assembled because the powder coat changes the tolerances. The mechanic that did my suspension said that, but I also don't believe everything even from a reputable source.

I read up on the G2 and if you have a paint sprayer you can use that with a primer tip, but I don't know if that is going to be at my disposal. They do offer Ford color codes though.

Powder coating temperatures are much lower than what your brakes will see if you drive the car like you stole it.

I would not worry about it. I have had them done on other cars with no issues.

The cast surface of the caliper is so rough you won't see any difference between brush and spray.

This is brushed on;

I used a high-heat primer, and then stopped there. But I would not be afraid to try any non-high-heat-rated spray paint over that.

In fact I put some graphic vinyl on my calipers! I bet they will survive autocross runs, but I am not so sure about a track event, lol.

I think I have it narrowed down to the last two colors I posted. Can you can confirm GMB Racing? The match on your shroud looks spot on.

Looks good! I am going to use some hi-temp stickers as well. If I can get the RR going I am going to use a gloss black pony with a flat black GT sticker laid over it. I am hoping it looks good and it all doesn't melt off lol!
