I got a set of gt calipers off a member, front and backs. I want to paint them with g2 caliper paint.

The rears are a bright silver (unlike ones on ecoboost being dull matte type grey) and fronts are dark grey as of now. The gt rears could be shiny like my window trim in my head.

I was thinking about painting just the front grabber blue, with a black decal of some sort on the calipers and leaving rears silver.

But part of me wants to do all 4. I just think front being blue would bring the attention up front vs the regular rear calipers.

I think all four would good but maybe a color that would contrast with the dark wheels. Kind of thinking yellow would look with GB.

Or red.....or GB

I don't think a red is good here, it would be darker than the regular paint and likely get lost. Red looks good on base colors (whites/greys/magnetics/blacks) IMO. I like the yellow idea, or the same grabber blue, or silver, but I'd do all 4 the same color. 2 different colors would look weird to me?

It doesn't stick out too much honestly, I only ever painted my fronts red. See how dedicated you are to it while you're doing the front two and make the decision for real.

Blue or yellow would look good to me.

I only ordered 1 kit, and it hasn't shipped, customer service doesn't seem to be responsive at all about making it 2 even though they replied to me on fb just ignored me after I stated updating it to 2 lol.

so I guess I will paint the front two, unless I have a lot left and try the back two.

1 kit is supposed to be enough to do front and rear, something like 3 or 4 coats per caliper I believe.

In the OP he said the calipers would be painted grabber blue (so paint matched). The question of the thread was whether he should paint all four or just the front two.

We gave him a couple of options so didn't know if he possibly changed his mind. Doesn't matter, the GB calipers are going to look fantastic.

Fair point lol, forgot you were the one to post the Vette with the yellow brakes!

It apparently shipped, lmao. They literally read and ignored messages after asking me my concern and didn’t reply. Saved me some money though.

it arrives tomorrow!!!

I will probably paint all 4 tomorrow. They are super clean, do you guys paint the entire back side of the front calipers where you can’t see too? Or just the front mainly.

Don’t want to waste the paint if not needed. What brush do you guys recommend?

I painted the whole thing, but really you could probably get away with not doing the inner face as long as you do the edges all the way.

I'd say a foam brush, the included one has bristles that kinda fall apart.

Foam is nice for the large faces, but the brush is likely better for corners and getting behind the bleed valves.
