Future Mustang Purchase Suggestion ?

Currently looking into buying a mustang , now my current car payment ends in 2020 . Should i consider buying a mustang GT (2018) , or will the 2015-16 Shelby GT 350 will be at a lower price point where it is actually considerable buying (35-40k).
