Anyone else get their car out in the snow? Lots of fun to be had, no garage queen here. The Pirelli Sottozeros were fantastic and gripped hills and curves unless I didn’t want to and broke them free.

That’s a no here. But we don’t get snow. So there is that.

Sometimes I put a jacket on her in the garage if it’s going to be cold.

She looks cold in that picture.

Not for me. The salt and brine here makes driving it after November not worth it.

This is my problem. I drove mine a couple of days last winter and now my brake calipers look like they got submerged in the ocean for 300 years. I had Alpin PA4's and it drove great but the salt damage is just not worth it. My little malibruiser can take care of that duty.

No salt or snow issues here, but this time of year our hazard is sugar cane loading zones. Mud clods everywhere. I had to make 2 u-turns last weekend because of them.

We get 1 good snow a year here if we are lucky. To me, that doesn't warrant dedicated snow tires. I do drive my Stang year round but will have fun in the Jeep with 4wd instead if there is snow on the ground.

Looks fun in the snow with the Stang though. Rock on!

Snow doesn't bother me. It's the salt and brine. Bad enough I live by the ocean.
My GMC pickup is for fun in the snow. I drive my GT in the winter, but only if the roads are clear.

We only got 3" yesterday night but my GT PP2 is out and about. No garage queen here. I think I can call it a "Snow Pony" now.

Since the car came with 305/30R19 and I wasn't sure what rims would fit, I grabbed a set of Blizzak LM-32 in 275/35R19. I had to keep it in snow/rain mode and go easy on the throttle but it did make it to work with just barely a little tail wagging. Enough to indicate the beginnings of traction loss. I was hoping for better but will take what I can get. I have a set of wheels on order, if they can prove they will fit. Once these tires wear out, I can then mount a smaller 245 or 255 on those new 19x9.5.

In all, very manageable.

That's the new for 2019 color Velocity White! Mine isn't in the garage full time yet but I may do it tonight. I keep saying one or 2 more days with her then I'll put it away. I hate parting with the car for several months but it does make you appreciate it when it comes back out for good though :) And I have my 4x4 truck for the nasty stuff we get from now on.

245 is not acceptable for a 9.5 wheel. Get 255 or 265. Even 275 will work again. In snow conditions, a bit of bulge is actually acceptable. Or cancel your order and get 19x8.5's and you will be spoiled for options for 245/45-19.

from most of the tire recommendation sites, they suggest a 245 on a 9.5 is the bare minimum. The reason to get the 9.5 IS to mount my current 275 on them and then get the narrowest I can on them.
Currently, I have the 275 on my stock PP2 rims, 19x10.5 and 19x11. They do not look the best but they work. I agree, for aesthetics, I would not go below a 255 which is still better than the 305 I have currently. Many in my neck of the woods do fine with all seasons in 255. I would still go full winter tire.

This is my baby with snow boots on.
