Not sure what you mean Frank. I know 93 is 93. It is not 91.You realize 93 is 93.
No, it’s not. The truck that is going to Wawa is not going to Shell, Sunoco, Mobil, or any other Top Tier brand.Top tier is subjective
Noticed the newest Casey's nearby now has E85. Out of the hundreds of stations in my city and area this is the only station that has E85. So let me ask a question right quick. I think the 85 refers to the amount of gas and ethanol but what is the octane in E85? I'm sure that's a stupid question so why not another lol. From what I've seen and read to run E85 you have a tune for E85 in the GT right? I have a 2019 btwE85 is the only way to fly...
Awesome so after doing a bit of reading I would need a tune for my 19 GT and wondering if that would void the warranty? Would I also need a new CIA?The "E" stands for ethanol and the 85 stands for the percentage of ethanol, so E-85 is 85% ethanol and 15% gasoline. On the flip side, E-10 is 10% ethanol and 90% gas
That would be, Yes, a definitely possibility, and most likely yes.Awesome so after doing a bit of reading I would need a tune for my 19 GT and wondering if that would void the warranty? Would I also need a new CIA?
lol well screw that I'll stick with the 91 Citgo down the roadThat would be, Yes, a definitely possibility, and most likely yes.
It is actually around E70 tested. 102-103 octane. You go to Arkansas U?Noticed the newest Casey's nearby now has E85. Wonder if Ford performance makes an E85 tune and how good it compares? Saw a video and a commenter on said video that a Ford performance tune would not void the warranty as long as a certified Ford dealer does the install. Makes me wonder if that might be a viable option. The E85 here is around $.70 or so cheaper than the 91/93That would be, Yes, a definitely possibility, and most likely yes.
All ethanol is bad!!!LOL yall kill me. Pure or 10%.. oh my god 10% is crap ethanol is so bad for your engine. Then turn around and say yeah man e85 is the shit. Um is that not 85% of the same crap you claim is bad at 10%?
I am pretty sure Ford Performance does not offer an E85 tune. I use a flex-fuel tune. The A/F ratio and ignition timing adjusts to whatever is in the tank. I run E85 in the summer and 93 in the winter. Occasionally, in the summer, I will need fuel where E85 is unavailable and I will use 93. The E85 adds power over 93 according to dyno results and you can definitely feel the difference as well as see it on timeslips. Another nice benefit is that the cylinder head temps run about 5-8 degrees cooler when running E85. The exhaust smells great, too!! Fuel economy is less with E85 so that offsets the lower cost per gallon.Wonder if Ford performance makes an E85 tune and how good it compares? I spent a couple more hours last night researching and Ford performance doesn't offer any tunes for the 18 or 19 GT at least according to their website. I think maybe it has to do with the way the ethanol attracts water and deteriorates lines if allowed to sit for long periods of time but I'm not sure if that's true? I'm still trying to learn about the subject it's all very InterestingLOL that was my point. But read the comments.. everyone will say I don't put shit 10% in my car cause ethanol is crap on an engine. Then turn around and say I run E85 and its great????
