Thanks everyone. The blurb I read a long time ago in the user's manual referred to specific additives that did not refer to fuel stabilizer.

I picked up some non ethanol 93 octane, drained the tank, and filled to the top with treated fuel for long term storage.

The stabil label says it keeps fuel fresh for 2 years. If it gets to that point, I will just repeat the process.

It'd be worth the effort to run the engine long enough that the stabilized fuel is all the way through the system from the tank to the pump to the fuel rails and injectors. Once done, though, it's unlikely you'll have any problems down the road. The active ingredient in Sta-bil is basically a butane molecule connected to an ethanol molecule by an oxygen atom. It's polar enough to grab H2O and hold it, and flammable enough to disappear when the engine starts. Brilliant design.

I stopped using any “stabilizers” over 17 years ago. I had more odd issues using them. I’ve stored small engines and many vehicles up to 8 months with full tanks of gasoline with never a problem. Our fuel systems are much more sealed from the elements than they were 20 years ago. Most gasoline won’t won’t actually have more than 6% Ethanol anyway. For a solid year, I tested gasoline at about 100 stations in the surrounding 3 states, and most were testing in the 3-6% range. This isn’t going to hurt a thing. Ethanol is actually not corrosive, until evaporation occurs and air is introduced in the system over extended periods of time. (1 year+).
The old timer paranoid about Ethanol mentality is like those still terrified of Covid because they refuse to see the real picture. Most anyone that can truly blame Ethanol on stored engine problems, also severely neglected these small engines and sat for a LOT longer than 8+ months.

Define “unvaxxed”. Against what particular disease are you referring to? Because I am damn well vaccinated against SEVERE diseases with vaccinations that are proven to actually work and are needed.

To think I got straight "A"s in organic chemistry I and II and don't have any idea the magnitude of the chemical composition. Chemistry in action.....

It is a joke. Nothing personal or political. We are brothers from another mother. ;^)

I was referring to the original comment that you replied to. All good, back on the rails we go
