So the fuel sensor or something is off, and I was able to capture it today (safely).

Did you do a super fast reset at the 1 second mark also, or was that a flash without you doing anything?

I was just driving. I was actually pulling off the freeway and just turned into a small street. The 5 mile warning came on just before i got off the freeway, before the "miles to empty" jumped back up to 65 (or so). Then it dropped again to 5 miles left, before jumping up again to 65. it was going back and forth without any input from me.

^^^ I though you might have been resetting it somehow. If it was doing that flashing on/off and resetting the gauge by itself, looks like something is definitely loose and intermittent. Sensor might have a bad spot on it if it only happens when reading ~1/4 tank.

On the Ecoboost, it's usually around 25 miles "left" (not including the other 2 gallons), and on the GT it's normally 50 miles "left" (1/4 like GT Pony said).
In my Ecoboost the low fuel light come on consistently between 35 and 38 miles to empty and takes a little over 14 gallons to fill at that point.

I'm out of fuel with 1/8 tank and 30 miles to E. When I fill it up it only takes 13.7 gallons. Dealer changed the fuel level sensors, checked the fuel balance tubes and it still does it. I get no fuel low warning.

You mean really out, like the car won't run? That's not good. Sounds like the gauge is about right, and the MTE is typical, heading for 0 with about 15 gallons of space in the tank. Something must be wrong with the fuel pickup.

Yeah i came off the freeway going to the gas station and when i got back on the accelerator it didnt do anything. I rocked the wheel and it picked back up and i got to the station. Its the second time it happened to me. The first time the dealership changed the level sensors and it ran fine with one gallon added. The difference is the car was on the lift not moving. So this time the car decelerating and in a rh turn.
