Long story short, I plug my phone in for Android Auto and a month ago it'll start randomly disconnecting while driving. USB port in the center console is fine. I went to the dealer and they told me it was fine after a $70 diagnostic, and magically it was.

A month later and the issue is back! Anyone else have experience with this?

My iPhone started doing this.

I’ve got to get a real apple cable to see if that’s the issue but sometimes it’ll disconnect and I lose my music or ballgame I’m listening to.

And my front USB port is the only one which will connect my phone to the car. The armrest one only charges it.

Do you have latest software update? My music thumb drive would just stop playing multiple times during a song. The dealer updated it (Sync?) and all is good, though sometimes when I start the car, an AM station will be playing even though it should pick up the song playing from the USB when I turned the car off.

My car was doing this so I tightened up the tabs inside the connection and it seems to be fixed. I used a small jeweler's screwdriver to bend the tabs out a tiny bit. I didn't feel like taking a trip to the dealer for it yet.
