Hi guys I was wondering recently my USB ports on my mustang aren’t working. 2015 Mustang GT and neither of them work. They won’t recognize a phone plugged in or a USB stick with media. I tried pulling the fuse and resetting sync didn’t do anything. I checked the cables behind the media center in the arm rest and they are all plugged in and in tact. Not sure what it could be?

In the armrest where the other USB port is located is the main hub - maybe that’s bad? It passes the USB signal through (along with power) to the front USB port under the center stack.

Quite a few of us have swapped this out for a Car Play compliant version, you can probably score a used one for pretty cheap.

Reviving this as my front USB port has no power, yet the armrest one does. 2020 Bullitt. Anyone who's had this issue found the solution? I'd prefer not to have the dealer hack up the centre console.

Has it ever worked? Maybe it's just disconnected, I mean, by "no power" you mean it neither charges a device _or_ provides a data connection[?]

It did work before yes. I've got a cable that has a little light on it to show it's powered and it won't light up anymore on the front port while it does fine on the console port or elsewhere indoors. No work was done to the car either.

I think I'd still check the connection to the front port, because it's super easy. Basically you snap out the port/block in the armrest, preferably with a plastic trim tool, but anything like a plastic knife, or even a butter knife if you're careful, it comes out super easy.

Then you'll see two connections: one goes to the headunit/electronics, the other goes to the front (under the stack) port, maybe remove it, reconnect it. It could be something in the hub itself, but I figure this is a quick check. If the hub is bad (that the part you removed), it's a super simple swap, heck, maybe they'll even swap you since you're under warranty without a full on service appointment.
