I have a 2018 PP1 and really like the look of the PP2 front splitter. There are a few options that I know of.
1. Order the actual part from Ford $300-ish
2. ZL1Addon splitter $200-ish
3. SVE splitter $150
4. APR carbon fiber splitter $400 or something like that

I like the first three options because they do NOT have those splitter rods (looks cleaner in my opinion) but I have read somewhere that without the rods, the splitter is not fastened on securely enough and can come off at high speeds.

Does anyone have any experience with these splitters (or any splitter in general)? Are they secure at high speeds? Thanks in advance

I don't really have a splitter ..but I do have the roush front spoiler..had it at speeds multiple times over 130 + and it had no issues..and I can say that ZL1 add-ons are great product very strong.. I use their front splitter on my Camaro without the rods and never had an issue.

Just recently installed the Scott Drake front splitter from LMR. It's slightly bigger than the PP2 and definitely gives it a more agressive look. It's secured by 3M tape and bolts as well. I've taken it multiple times over 100 and it's been holding up well. I'm going to add some splitter rods soon as well for more support.

Please post up where you found the OEM splitter for ~$300.

I adore the pp2 chin spoiler, so my opinion is biased. I haven’t had any of the chin spoilers/splitters you mentioned but I don’t think any of them will beat the fit and finish of the oem unit

I know someone who has the ZL1 splitter and he said it creates so much down force it is actually separating the lower valance from the bumper and creating gaps between the bumper and the head lights.
I would also assume the OEM part would fit and work the best over all after market options. But OEM costs double in price...I may order the ZL1 or the LMR one and move it back a bit so it doesn't protrude out as far (less down force > less bumper damage.)

And 2018OFPP1?2 - you are correct. I had the wrong part number on Ford's catalog. Definitely not $300 haha

A lot of splitters are cosmetic and the apr one actually generates down force, hence the rods. I think they can look good if installed correctly. I'm not saying the choices above won't have any down force benefit, but I believe that the apr one will generate the most down force

keep in mind the PP2 is multi function. it does create more downforce, but it also has grooves underneath to divert air to the brakes. but like said, its not cheap

I think I'll go with the cheaper LMR splitter and then trim it to the length I want. I don't want to spend a bunch of money on this

I am a tech at a Ford dealership, I ran the VIN from a PP2 car we have on the lot against my PP1. It comes exactly how the PP2 cars do, in a bag with all hardware and instructions. Cost is about $380, employee pricing is 10% over that.
You do need to drill for the 3 alignment pegs and for the nut plates along the front. The Plastic rivets just support the back of the splitter to the pan and are easy to remove if the splitter or pan needs to be removed, these can be replaced with locking push pins. View attachment 365412

Where the plastic rivets go do you need to drill anything?

I have one order from Ford in Europe, the spare parts guy did even know why it existed in the central warehouse in Europe haha.

Paid 170USD shipped

You don't need to drill the pan, it has holes from the factory, you only drill into the splitter to access the nut plates and for the alignment pins.
I drilled for the nut plates once everything else was riveted and bolted up.

They do not, the stock splitter on the pp2 cars come predrilled. I mounted the lower splitter up with a few push pins along the back and bolted the side up then marked the pins, they don't need to be perfect, and probably can be removed.
