I'm curious as well. Was most likely going to have to go with the Uhaul rental. Was going to bring extra pieces of wood to help elongate the ramp up, but curious to hear from any other members that had to trailer them as well.
I cringe at the thought of wood. I'm always scared they will crack, split, or slap the car.

Lift Height

Here's the ramps I used. I use the 6' long steel trailer ramps and the 74" race ramps. The race ramps are SWEET. super lights and they can be used on any surface. It's crazy they are made of foam and coated in a bed liner spray type coating. They literally weigh about 5 pounds each and can support 1500 pounds each. I have over 2" of front end clearance when loading and unloading.
Voodoo- how much lift do your ramps have? I see they come in different sizes.
Also, I see they're only rated for 3,000#. You didn't have any problem with that?
Thanks

Correct they are rated for 3000 pounds for the pair but you only have half of the cars weight on them at one time. I have not had any problems. They work great. Here are the ones that I use that I bought from Summit racing.

I do too, but my options are limited as to how to get the car home. The wood wont be used to "lift" the weight of the car but to help raise it as I drive on it. I'm hoping I can find a more natural way based on the parking lot, or hoping the dealership has ideas based on previous deliveries.

I'm a mechanical engineer, I'll find a way.

Nothing wrong with using wood on the ground to assist in ramp clearance.

Loaded and off to Sebring after securing down.... :D

I agree when you use it that way. In stead of using jack stands as you do, I use scissor jacks to keep the trailer suspension from dropping as I drive the car up.

Oh man! I thought I was going to be first to Sebring! I won't be there until next weekend though.

Good luck! And definitely give us a report.

How are you guys tying them down? Axle straps? T-hooks? Over the tire straps?

Do you have a picture of them on a GT350?

I'm thinking I'll need to use a Supercar like setup to tow the 350R in an enclosed trailer due to ground clearance.

I'm sorry but this is the best I can't do right now because I'm in the beginning of installing my headers. Here's the tie downs I use. They Are made by Vulcan pt number TH017-PS. Sorry for the lame pic. I used them yesterday to trailer my car to Watson racing for dyno pulls and they worked great. Very simple and no problems at all.
