Trying to see why my front alignment is so off. Front driver side is showing just over -2 camber and then passenger side is showing -1.2 I believe.

I checked ride height and both sides are identical 27" from the ground to the fender.

I guess I'll need some front camber bolts but anyone know why one side would be so far off compared to the other?

Driver side toe is -0.41 compared to 0.01 on the passenger side.

Fix the toe and your issue will likely be fixed.

Why in the world a shop would let that toe out the door, I have no clue.

Have them set the toe to .05 in per side, total toe at .10

Yeah I knew that was way off. They didn't do anything with alignment once they said they couldn't adjust the camber. Fixing the toe should fix the camber?

It should, yes.

You can test it yourself.

Put a level (use an angle finder app on your phone) on the wheels, then run the toe in on the side that is out. Errr, basically, run it in or out based on what that negative means.

Over the years, I have seen shops with print outs that mean both. I would actually call them and ask if the negative is in or out. If it means IN, extend the toe rod a little and check the level in degrees afterwards. If the negative means OUT, then shorten the toe rod a little and check the level.

But yes, the toe will play a role in your issue. Hence the reason the toe and camber is so far off side to side, it's likely not a coincidence.

Good luck!

First mistake haha. Any kind of suspension work like that should be done at a performance suspension shop. It took my guy a couple hours longer than he expected but it was because he wouldn't let it out of there without being perfect.

Nice. Yeah can't seem to find a performance suspension by me in NC but there must be one. I'll keep looking around!

Did the Ford dealer even offer to get the shim kit to straighten out the alignment?

No they wanted to charge $900 for adjustable control arms they said lol.

They then said they'd give me a deal on alignment for $50 since they couldn't get it right.

I refused of course and took my car away from there never to return!

something i have noticed on the multiple times i tore my car and others down.

you can install a set of springs and always one side has more camber than the other. the OEM strut holes are not slotted, the upper mounts are fixed and the drop is fixed. even with a alignment done its like this. What i have been doing on OEM based struts is slotting the upper hole just a hair and its plenty to get you anywhere from 1.2-1.8 negative camber per side.

I am very surprised you can not find a real shop in Nascar country where you live. I am friends with so many race shops and manufactures down there, some serious shops to i would be surprised if a good speed shop isn't in the Concord, Moresville area. You should drive over to Roush Yates and poke around for some recommendations.

Yeah I asked roush Yates and they had no recommendations.

I'm going there Monday for a dyno pull so I'll ask again.
