One of the major manufacturers I think BMR posted about whenever the car was lowered the source of some creaks and pops was the bushings not being clocked. Visibly anywhere there was a rubber bushing to loosen the nut completely and then re torque. It can be a source of some of the noise you hear after installing springs. If you do a search in this forum you will find the post.

Progressive springs don't have a constant spring rate... so some coils are closer than others. What they're referring to is, that in some instances, your coils can touch. It's a tradeoff with progressive springs. You can insulate parts of the spring with rubber to prevent metal to metal contact, and thus reduce the noise.

But that sound is more of a clunking sound. A rattle sound suggests that something wasn't tightened to proper torque values. Only the really good shops out there will both look up the proper torque values and actually break out a torque wrench. Most of them would rather hammer away with an impact until they think it's tight enough.
Hince, why I always to the work myself.
Replace one time use TTY bolts...check.
All fasteners torqued to spec...check.

Too many shops could careless about attention to such details. Just get it in and out quick.

Plus wrenching on cars is a fun hobby.

My money is on the top nut of the strut not being tight - this happened to me when installing my Sportlines. You will need to place an offset combination wrench on the lower part (it's sitting deep in the hole), and torque the top nut.
