Pending a response from Doug, I think he is referring to the mounts on the front most part of the subframe :

If so, BMR sell a brace for there (but from my armchair, I really can't see how the subframe will benefit from that).

The front ends are slotted for U nuts, I think the Ecoboost must have something there as the (euro) GT's don't.

I then started thinking of something like this :

The purple profiles at the back of the upper image are the end of the subframe.

I'm thinking of going for the lower design (or a variant of it) which gives a mounting hole on each side, with clearance for some nice colour coded cup washers.

I'm considering adding something like this as I am (pipe dream) considering the future use of an intercooler ...

I've also got some other mounts to consider - I added four of these into the back of my Steeda crash bar :

Hopefully that gives you some ideas ?

I had a chin out on the bottom of the intercooler. It extends forward, a couple bends and tucks into where the belly pan used to bolt in. It supports the assembly from the bottom. I did the barn built tube front end so there is not much supporting my bumper. I think I've been 130 maybe 140ish no issues yet. Previously when I ran the belly pan at 150 it ripped off and tore the front of the bumper off.

I already have the intercooler that was designed for the turbo kit in hand and it’s 6” thick (rated to support 1750 hp). It‘s a very solid piece too. I weighed it and it’s 32.2 lbs. front end is gonna be heavy with everything installed (maybe 120 lbs or so).

Haha! I’m all in now. I’ll figure something out.
I have the scherer fab intercooler, it's not 6 inches thick but it's rated at 1200-1300 wheel.

What's the main reason for a thicker intercooler? Is it more heat soak resistant?

If it is a race only car, I understand.

I really don’t know why they chose that intercooler to go with their kit. Since the kit was designed with this intercooler, I figured I might as well just stick with it.

For £11.76 ($16) it was worth an experiment for when the front end comes off :like:

Looks Great. This is what I made to mount my Mishimoto Oil cooler, CW400 pump and 8 quart Coolant tank. I had to make my own brackets to mount them onto the front 1/4" x 1-1/4" cross bar I installed. As far as the front crash bar. This winter I will buy a good Tube bar and weld brackets so I can mount my FI Interchiller to the back side and to be able to mount the OEM crash bar 8mph crash pad to the front just like OEM and also make it adjustable to move up and down so I can raise and support my GT500 Bumper when its installed.
