Hello Guys,

I am impatiently waiting for an update on my Bilstein B16 PSS10 suspension system for my 2015 mustang and one of the dealers brought up the Fortune Auto 500 Suspension which he indicated he could spring similarly to the bilsteins. He did say the bilsteins come softer than whats expected in the first 3" of travel for a track setup but I was kinda leaning toward that balance of comfort and performance due to my car being mostly a street car that i'd like to dial up as needed if i do a track day. From our conversation, i;d be able to get the fortune's in a month and the bilstein's are on national back order. Has anyone had experience with the Fortune Auto 500 and can share their thoughts?

I don't think I'd say the Bilstein's are on backorder when no orders have been delivered in the first place... I haven't heard of Fortune Auto 500 for our cars though so I can't comment on that. Any reason you wouldn't want Steeda's or FRPP's though? Lots of guys on the forum with positive experiences on either, I love my Steeda setup personally.

Because if im spending that kind of money, id want it to be worth it; so itd be ridetech, bilstein or something along those lines; not steeda or frpp.

I have heard a lot of good things about Fortune. They have bunch of global time attack winner cars. Also bunch of drift cars. I have seen few people at the track with Fortunes. They were happy

I am on the same boat as you. I was thinking about B16 PSS10. I am just waiting (mostly due to $$). Might end up going with Fortune Auto 510s sometime next year

I had Fortune Auto 500 coilovers on my Evo X a few years ago and they were really nice. I felt they road better than stock. I did upgrade the springs to Swift, which I would recommend.

I would say go for them. They are a great bang for the buck.

What are their units of measure? 4k to 16k springs in the front, 12k springs in the back.

Thanks for the recommendation. Do you have anything to report? For example, whether they can be comfortable and offer low noise and can also be adjusted and be dialed in for a track day? And what about durability etc?

I don't have any first hand experience but I track with a guy who runs a really well sorted CRX and he has FA coils, he loves them. He's broken supporting hardware and called and they've shipped to him same day. He also sent his out for rebuild and turn around was less than a month. He lauded their customer service.

The 500's are single adjustable, so there isn't much to adjust. However, Fortune Auto will valve them to your specific needs and the springs rates are customizable as well. When I ordered mine, I told them what my intentions were and they built them accordingly.

They were very comfortable on the street and performed well on the track. They didn't make any noise. I did also upgraded to their radial bearings.

Thanks for sharing...thats what im looking for; comfort but the ability to perform without much slop on an occasional (maybe once or twice a year track day). Did u upgrade to hyperco or swift springs as well?

I looked into these but the spring rates they were recommending were way off from what is typically seen for these cars, the front was way too high compared to the rear. I quizzed them on that and basically they said it was secret sauce and they couldn't really expand on that but I'd be super thrilled with them. I went with another product that is almost identical to the GT350R rates because I already know for sure that car works like a champ with those rates.

Secret sauce huh...lol...the thing with them is that theyre custom so they said they could have had the springs and valving similar to the bilstein b16 pss10 that i ordered and have no idea when ill actually get. So, its an interesting proposition; theyll be about the same price wise if i upgrade the springs to hyperco and get the upgraded radial bearings. I am spinning around in cirlces with alternatives and even considering ford performance track shocks and struts with bmr sp080 springs.
I been thinking about it and although bilstein has a great reputation, theyre definitely having some supplier or production issues. In the event something goes wrong, im gonna be shit out of luck.

I upgraded to Swift springs. Swift makes some of the best springs in the world.

I feel like my suspension was worth it, and it's all Steeda. Weird. Tons of want for Bilstein shocks and they can't even manufacture them. I hope they're good!

Have you considered Motion Control or JRZ or JRi? In the Mustang community... you'll find those on real race/track cars.

Drift cars... don't worry about what they have.
