I’m going to be the asshole.. Here’s reality for the lets say the less than economically producing individuals on here. You know the grown men on here that make the reference’s like his daddy this or his daddy that. First off only a hater bxtch makes that type of reference. That young man got in an F1 car with two broken wrists, and I can guarantee you you clowns can’t make it to the can after you stub your toe on your bedframe without an oscar performance of whining and crying. Lawrence Stroll has never made any bones about the opportunity he can provide for his son, nor should he. So you clowns are telling me you wouldn’t do the same for your son? Complete bs.. And if you say you wouldn’t, you’re a pos father and parent, it’s an either or situation. Lance Stroll has never acted like an entitled …. or been less then professional. But I get, it’s always those that haven’t accomplished …. in their own lives that are the most judgmental. Flame away.

One last thing: Not a Hamilton fan, but I’d never flame him for his lack of performance with Ferarri this year. And there are several on the grid in F1 that have benefited from access in one form or another. Motorsports cost a ton of money or every level.

Not an Asshole. Just a good dose of reality. You always wonder about car vs. driver. Lewis and Charles have proven that regardless of how good a driver you can’t do shit with a crap car. Same goes go Max earlier in the season. But what happens when you put a mid class driver in a championship car? Would it make a difference? Yuki, Valtteri, Carlos, and Sergio. Hmmmm.

ROFL. "Hater bxtch?" First off, say what you want to stay instead of bypassing word filters, and talk like an adult, if able. Looks like your feelings are hurt, and you're making this about me. You don't know a thing about my "economic production" so zip it and stay on topic.

You're missing the point.

We all know F1 is a rich guy's sport. Every single person involved has tons of money.

The POINT is that money doesn't buy talent, as Stroll and dad demonstrate.

I do not care that Lawrence Stroll is a billionaire. I do not care that he buys a seat for his son in a series that he shouldn't be in. I DO care that he has used money to give his son an advantage in a spec series(F3). I DO care that his son has openly stated in interviews that he's got an objection to people buying their way into a series they don't belong in. That makes him a hypocrite, and a pretty tone deaf one at that.

"Stroll has never acted entitled or been less than professional" - laughably false.

Anyways I already said I'm not talking about Stroll anymore. For a mid(at best)/irrelevant driver, I give him too much of my attention as it is. Stay mad, or don't. I don't care. End.

Back to tomorrow.

There's always a lot of discussion around this.

"It's the car."

"It's the driver."

In reality, it's both.

It doesn't matter how good a driver is, if the car is really bad, there's only so much the driver can do with it. Also, even at a high level, each driver has a different driving style.

Conversely if the driver isn't very good, if you give them the best car they may improve, but probably won't take full advantage of the car's capability.

I myself would like to see what Max could do in the seat of the McLaren.

Next season will be interesting with the changes. The ebb and flow of team/car/driver dominance in F1 is very entertaining, fascinating even.

I know, I was just making a post about qualifying going on now.

Field is quite tight right now. Everyone is going to have to push.

Mistakes might push a driver down the grid quite a few spots.

Q1 exits..

Hamilton, Albon, Hulkenberg, Gasly, Colapinto.

I am betting Hamilton is looking forward to this season being over.

Piastri on top, followed by Max... Norris 6th.

ETA - Hamilton 123.394, 123.163 for his teammate.

A hair over 2 tenths of a second separating 5th and 15th. Wild.

OK, I’m not a Max fan, but damn his talent is undeniably. A sub 1.23 without a tow from Yuki. Insane. Charles 5th, Lewis 16th. I just don’t get it.

Turn one tomorrow is going to be incredible. Can’t wait.

EDIT: I missed FP3 so didn’t realize that Lewis crashed. That car had to be less than 100%. So now I get it. 😫

Hello; I do admire the way diehard LH fans keep pulling for him. Yes he crashed. All on his own by the way. While I do get that could have disturbed the car such is what the teams deal with often. The cars get crashed in practice or Q and get fixed. Fairly sure the cars are to some degree rebuilt race to race. Regardless LH went out early in Q1 to check out the car.
A thing is this is the third time in a row he has missed Q2 &Q3. Not a fluke anymore.

Perhaps the same way to look at it is how we judge the other Ferrari or even Max & Tsu or Alonzo & Stroll, over the season.

Hello; Tsunoda is a pretty good example.
He almost totaled Lando's car and sent him to the hospital in P3. Would have ensured Max a 5th straight championship.

Didn't like Lando doing donuts before post race tech. Hope he didn't need the weight of the extra burned off rubber plus the marbles intentionally picked up in the in-lap.

Well that's it for 2025. A ho hum race overall but congratulations to Lando and Team Papaya. Lando finally sucked it up, did exactly what he had to and made it happen. I visited Glastonbury this year and I'm sure they are all going insane right now. Also congrats to Max for what almost became the biggest comeback in history. Once RB finally got the car competitive there was no stopping Max. Just a little too late. As far as Lewis, God, I'm glad it's over. But I can hardly wait until next year with the new car.

Hello; I fee lsure some of those following this thread keep better track. I seem to recall a fairly absolute rule about going off track and passing someone. Seems to me such a rule was in fact enforced during the season. That the off track driver was "pushed off" made no difference.
That said I get what the stewards were doing.

Looks like Tsunoda got some revenge for getting kicked out of his seat. A very clumsy sort of maneuver at best. Can we take a page from the Hamilton fans and claim Max the real champion because of actions by the officials?

Hard to feel sorry for Max. He drove a lesser car better than the champion in a better car.

Now we see which team interprets the new rules best or is it cheats best?
