They’re trying to figure out how to cook the books, so to speak, during those five laps. There is without a doubt two sets of standards and rules going on. I think it’s hilarious Verstappen could generally give a …. though. Lol. It was a very bad look for Russell. Guaranteed Toto said something after.
I agree there still seems to be some rule ‘interpretation’ but the Norris/Pisatri clash took Norris out. Norris at fault, no effect on Piastri (except maybe Piastri would have been able to get Kimi at the end, although if Norris has not crashed into Piastri he would have probably been able to overtake him and he could have got Kimi) so Norris punished himself in this collision. Tsunoda’s penalty was just ridiculous. We all thought Piastri should have parked the car like stroll was advised to do. He was lucky not to get a penalty himself. Max’s collision with Russell was deliberate and could have ended someone else’s race, it didn’t and didn’t really affect anything at all, 10seconds was too harsh 5 seconds would have been fairer. Or the stewards should have been in touch with RB quicker to say no position swap was necessary. All other sports seem to have faster electronic adjudication. I don’t know why it takes 5 laps to decide some of these things.
