Here’s some video of Lewis in Senna’s car. Pretty cool. Something about the sound of those old cars too

Full video from F1’s YouTube. So cool. I vaguely remember watching Senna race, we got more NASCAR and Indycar races on TV here in Chicago than we did F1 back in the day.

Hello; A difference is the engines likely were not turboed with an electric power pack. For years now the best sounding car at a race is the Safety Car.
I do not get why Lewis was driving the old car. There are active McLaren drivers around driving modern cars. Would seem more fitting to have one of them in that memorial seat. Perhaps it is a tribute to a driver on the way out of the sport???

That's just your anti Lewis stance, Lewis is a Brazilian citizen and he has a boat load of Brazilian fans and started his racing with McLaren and has always been the biggest Senna fan. Those are just a few points of the top of my head.

Superb drive from Max yesterday. Drove so well. Truly a class above everyone else. Lando bottled it trying too hard. after 2 or three laps of him not making any challenge to Charles, McLaren should have swapped Oscar and Lando round again as Oscar had the penalty anyway so wouldn't have affected the outcome.

Wonder what, if any, the difference in being an honorary citizen and naturalized Is. Those cars sound amazing. It’s easy to see why the drivers were so exposed in those setups, especially the front ends.

Hello; True enough I grew tired of Lewis. Largely after the broadcasts of his race radio talk. What a whiner he is. But if you want a MB driver who is moving to Ferrari in an old McLaren rather than a current McLaren driver, so be your opinion.
I thought for all this time Lewis is British. Not that it made much difference to me, but such was the impression.

For you Lewis fans. He's not even in the top 10 for lifetime penalty points!

A very nice race tonight. A lot of action with no yellow or red flags. Congrats to Max on #4. He drove a solid but respectful race. Also congrats to George who just ran away with it. And to my Lewis you know your error yesterday cost you a win but 10th to 2nd is still damn impressive.

US car giant General Motors has reached an agreement in principle to enter Formula 1 in 2026 with its Cadillac brand.

A statement on Monday said that GM and its partner, the US group TWG Global, had committed to name a new team after GM's luxury Cadillac brand and to build its own engine "at a later time".

F1 said the application process would "move forward".
