I’m good with agreeing to disagree on the other. This started with Wolf. Goes back a few months. In the past this is the type of thing that would come out of Ferarri. Ferarri got the short end of the stick with the fuel system. Aston Martin got it earlier this year. My problem with all this as a fan is I want it done on the track, not with backdoor complaints when you can’t compete. It seems this year F1 is protecting the factory teams with some of this.

Sometimes F1 is a bad joke.

Surprise, Red Bull is not happy. In this case I honestly don’t blame them.

I get it, no personal responsibility. Blame some one else that has status.
Not sure where this came from. An executive made racists comments about a driver from a rival team. The organization that executive represented severed ties and stated that they do not tolerate such behavior from their leaders. That's personal and institutional responsibility/accountability. Simple, appropriate, has nothing to do with "politics," and has nothing to do with the actions of the driver against whom he levied the comments.

Evidently your a Hamilton fan and he gets a pass.
I made no comments about Hamilton's actions and whether he should get a pass. I responded to your comment that conflated his actions with those of the executive. In regard to Hamilton, I think he is one of the greatest drivers in history. Bottas and Verstappen, in particular, are in the same class, but not quite on the same level (the Tom Brady or Michael Jordan of F1). As for the collision, I think Hamilton was at fault. He created the opportunity to pass when he took the corner from Verstappen. He blew it when he went wider left than he should have--there was more inside corner to use.

Got it. It was all about changing the narrative. Merc was getting blasted for the wrecks and F1 was getting blasted for there response.
They should be blasted. That's part of the sport. Personally, although I think Hamilton was wrong (committed a "foul"), I don't think he intentionally caused the accident, and although I disagree with the final call (10 seconds), I don't think F1 officials are corrupt or incompetent. "Refs" get paid the big bucks to make tough calls, and they made one. It's over. Continuing to complain about the calls is part of sports as well (inflate gate?). Making racist comments is not, and it wasn't Hamilton or F1 that made them. Nothing political about it.

Great sport, great tracks (fortunate enough to have driven this week's), fun to watch, fun to debate the blunders. Weed out the leaders (executives) who can't handle leadership positions, make publicly clear that the organization does not condone his actions, and continue to drive. Pretty simple to me.

Should be a great race this weekend.

On a side note, myself being from Canada, I’m happy to see 2 Canadian drivers on the grid. Sorry to Americans.

Sorry Max fans, but he is a moron. He is saying it is OK to race but don’t penalize me for not being able to follow the pace car. Doesn’t matter, cars are back in the pits, red flag.

Scared of a little rain. That's what rain tires are for!

:) Kidding. I've been lucky to only drive Spa on dry days. I debate whether I would drive or forfeit my payment if it rained.
