Ferrari : breaking drivers dreams since 2006 #DontBeAFoolLewis
Hello; First thing being this is a rumor for the 2025 season. Likely much will depend on how he does in 2024. I expect a continued decline in finishing positions with the caveat that MB does not come up with a car far superior to all others. MB may remain at the 3rd to 5th place level without big improvements.
I do agree with your take that it would be a foolish move for Lewis. He has lucked out in the past with moves to teams with better cars and MB has only fallen behind the last couple of seasons. His better bet is to stick with MB as long as they will have him.

Picture Vettel's tenure at Ferrari for a guide. On the other hand, being at Ferrari very possibly will give him genuine excuses for poor performances.

Well this is interesting. Not true, but interesting.

I saw this on Sky this morning (via YouTube) and they could not corroborate anything and was breaking news so they had to say something. Like you say (and they mentioned), It's still rumours and probably not true.

Saw several articles now. BBC, ESPN both reporting similar to Sky Sports and Autosports. ESPN is saying their “sources” within F1 are telling them it’s basically a done deal. Some other news outlets such as CNBC have not been able to independently verify that report. Would be likely to replace Carlos Sainz on team Ferrari per some reports. Gotta love the rumor mill.

Straight swap LH and CS for me... although it would be interesting to see how Mick Schumacher could compare to George

Word is Mercedes head of performance went to Ferrari so Lewis is following him. That’s what my brother in law saw anyway, he follows F1 religiously like some of you all do.

The plot thickens... will Bono go with him?

Let’s play devils advocate for a moment. Picture Lewis beating Schumachers number of championships at the team schuy won most of his… how does this feel to Ferrari…?

Interesting question. Probably mixed feelings is my guess. On one hand, you’d have the record broken under your team’s colors, so the record was technically broken by a Ferrari driver. On the other, he would eclipse one of the most dominant racers of his time (and maybe ever, I don’t know F1 history enough to make that last statement with certainty).
