I just bought an Explorer ST so I’ve got a lot and have paid cash for all of the oil changes for my wife’s car and my old Focus ST.

I applied some points for a down payment. It wasn’t much, but it beat writing a check for $111.00.

So, you would need what, about 12,000,000 to pay for a M1 in points? and you get what, 1 point for every dollar spent? haven't bought anything from Ford direct in.....20 years?

I spent 56K on my explorer ST and only got 42K points out of it so it's less than 1 for 1

Even with two other Fords since 2012 (2011 SHO and 2015 GT Premium), I didn't have enough points to even make the deposit on my Mach 1, but this was the first car decision when it really was about the car and not about the money. I am thankful the points I earned from buying it are paying for most of the early maintenance. But I'm even more thankful for the smiles this car brings to others on every outing. This past weekend we gained good attention as the only 2021 Mach 1 (and only one of Mach 1s of any generation) at the Mass Cruisers Autofest in Newport, RI, and today the attendant at my local favorite gas station in Virginia asked if he could take pictures of the car to share with his kids who love American muscle cars. What's that American Express line? That kind of points are "Priceless."
