I'd like to put one in a first gen camaro or a C2 or early steel bumper C3 corvette just to piss off the chevy guys. It's ok for them to put a chevy in anything, but if you put anything other than a chevy engine in a chevy, it's blasphemy.

I really could see using this instead of a bored/stroked 460. the price difference for a really build 460 isn't all that much. Even for a 429 replacement in something like my 71 mach 1.

(could even see building one for a street/strip S550 in 10-15 years once the coyote gives up the ghost.)

These kiddies do know about cubic inches. Real easy to make 700hp plus n/a on pump and single carburetor with 555/572ci BBC. ;).

I've in the 600+ on my 460 stroker on pump, and its a slightly wild build, not majorly over the top, factory block .080 over, studded heads with roller rockers, nice FT hydraulic cam, stroked to BBC journals, balanced h-beam rods, 11.5:1 comp, and a big f'in carb. I could probably squeeze another 100 hp out, and some more reliability with a few changes, especially an aftermarket block.

I'll stick to the 8.1 in my 2500hd. Passing diesels up hill with a 32 ft travel trailer is a blast. You should see the look on their faces when a gas truck flies by with a bigger load climbing up the mountains.

Ha ha. To put it in equal terms, 572 means 9.4L. Almost big rig size. Ridiculous. Rather have my little Coyote. Ha ha.

I had one of these doo-hickeys in a Vette Convertible:

https://www.chevrolet.com/performance-parts/crate-engines/lsx/lsx-454

640 rwhp all motor on E85 with a stupidus biggus cammus. Big cube motors can make big time power as long as your willing to pay for big time fuel consumption and big time everything from the flywheel to the rear wheels. This was the last of the money pits for me. I'm sure someone will try to convert this truck motor to a race motor - I'll be in the bleachers watching and eating popcorn.

Oh...and if your'e in CA and need to smog it, I know a dude....

I got a ride in a stock looking restored 47 Buick Special coupe with a 572. It was quite unexpected. I might have left a few stool samples!
