Ohh Lord! were just going in circles here lol, i'm not sure you fully under stand how warranty works, you get a a FULL standard bumper to bumper warranty when you buy the car, 3/36 it covers every square inch practically. But you have a limited 5/60 power train warranty even after the 3/36 are up. Now it clearly states in writing it will NOT VOID YOUR LIMITED WARRANTY. Can we agree on a written fact?
Mark, I do fully understand how the warranty works and you are incorrect. It is true that the Ford Performance warranty doesn't "void the factory warranty", the second this power pack is installed, Ford can deny coverage for anything they attribute to it. Ford Performance will cover it up to 3/36, after that you are out of warranty regarding JUST things attributable to the power pack upgrade. The rest of your warranty remains in place. I've stated this as clearly as I can.

Nobody should just believe me since we are talking about potentially having to spend several thousand dollars to replace an engine out of your pocket, go have a talk with your dealer, I already have.

It's actually funny that you believe that your factory warranty is somehow going to be acceptable to the dealer AFTER Ford Performance will no longer cover liability for their upgrade. You have to keep in mind these are 3 separate entities; the dealer, Ford and Ford Performance. The dealer wants to get paid for work they do either by you or one of the other 2. It very clearly states in your warranty from Ford that damage that can be attributed to ANY aftermarket modifications will not be covered under warranty. This Ford Performance power pack IS an aftermarket upgrade, not from Ford. If it didn't impact the Ford factory warranty, Ford Performance wouldn't need to provide a warranty at all. Once the 3/36 has expired you are left with still having the modifications (Performance pack), Ford Performance's coverage expires and Ford stopped covering it the second you installed it. That leaves you to cover it. Don't think for a second that because the FORD dealer, FORD and FORD Performance share FORD in their name that they are together, they are 3 independent businesses.

Hopefully you get it but for anyone considering, I strongly recommend you discuss this with your dealer first or be prepared to cover it yourself. Either way, I'm done explaining. Hopefully it helps someone.

In the end the warranty is going to come down to your dealer. We have seen dealers who scoff at any modification and refuse warranty work, and then we some dealers fixing cars under warranty that were heavily modified. The dealer seems to be a bigger factor than Ford. I myself had an engine blow. The first dealer it got taken to, was giving me a hard time right out of the gate before they knew anything about the situation. The 2nd dealer knew it had been tuned and still got the entire replacement covered fully under warranty. If I stayed at the first dealer I would have been 100% out of pocket. SO discussing what will be and won't be covered when discussing any kind of medication is really difficult on the forums as it is very dependent on where you take the car.

Ford does not void the warranty using ford performance power pack. Though you will find it very hard to prove that the Ford Performance Pack did not cause the damage to the engine if something by chance does go wrong.

You are rolling the dice. Though to be honest, I think of this tune as something the Mustang should come stock with as an option. The fact that a grocery getting V6 Honda with a 3rd less the power can keep up with it for less the price on insurance kind of sickening. The only issue I see is the minute you put bad gas in the car that you thought was 91 or 93 octane I can imagine bad things happening. I would keep a close eye out on maintenance of the air filter, plugs, and fuel filter as much as possible and keep to reputable gas stations.

Livernois base calibration gets you 95 hp and 100 # torque "Safely", so I imagine this calibration from Ford Performance is very modest. Every time you buy a new car you run the risk of a lemon - so pick your poison.

Is it the same tune and intake that Ford racing is selling now though?

No, it's a Whipple unit.

I'll have to hunt for the pic of it, but it's based off the Whipple's cai they use for the 5.0 cars. It's a conical filter with a removable lid on it. When my car was at the shop they didn't have a tube in production spec material so it didn't come home with me.

I really don't think the intake is going to matter, testing has been done showing the stock air box with a better flowing drop in filter out performs any of the aftermarket CAIs.

The real question I think is that the tune that Ford is selling right now? If so, that's impressive! It sounds like the numbers that were floating around and suspected to be flywheel numbers rather than at the wheels. Seeing this to the wheels on a dyno independently tested is nice, thanks!

Wow, nice numbers. A tune that passes emissions and has a 3 year warranty is always nice.

I'll add this to my spring budget!

I don't see 325hp being hit on the graph. The legend states 325, but the graph doesn't hit that high.
