Hello Folks,

Scored a great deal on a used set of FP springs. I know the rear springs are side specific but unfortunately the print identifying which spring belongs where has worn away. There is remnants of print on one spring but gone on the other.

Does the print come on both springs? If not, what is the easiest way to identify which spring goes where?

Thanks in advance!

I am curious to find out the answer to that question. I see no reason for the springs to be side dependant. They have the same spring rate and are built the same.

On each of the rear springs the is a part number. At the end of this part number will be a WL and WR. WL is driver side and WR is passenger. Make sure you can read the writing on the spring coil (closest coils together bunched up are the top). Also the WL spring coil will wind counter clockwise and the driver clockwise.

Hope this helps! Im doing a full install on my youtube channel this week.

Well that is meaningful information. Who would have thunk? Now assuming the OP grew up with clocks and not digital, he will get it right despite the lack of writing on the spring. Cool.

The spring pockets in the lower control arms are cast to correspond with the correct spring. You can look under the car to see which is which. Or, when you remove the springs just swap the spring that matches with the one that you take out.
