I want a new cat back exhaust for my 10 speeds 2021 mustang gt. Curious on how loud are the FP by Borla extreme and Borla S type inside the car while cruising? Will the cold start waking up the neighbors?. I definitely want something that have better tone and louder than my x pipe resonator delete/ stock mufflers.

Hey this is Junior from N4SM, on my s550 mustang I had the borla s type catback with the X-Pipe. That system has a nice deep tone and has some good volume in the upper rpms. Has a little bit of drone and the cold starts aren't too bad. I would also suggest looking at the Corsa Sport Catback. Very similar to the borla s type but has no drone and in my opinion has nicer exhaust tips haha.

Hey this is Junior from N4SM, on my s550 mustang I had the borla s type catback with the X-Pipe. That system has a nice deep tone and has some good volume in the upper rpms. Has a little bit of drone and the cold starts aren't too bad. I would also suggest looking at the Corsa Sport Catback. Very similar to the borla s type but has no drone and in my opinion has nicer exhaust tips haha.

Thank you I will definitely looking into the Corsa sport. I heard the S type are super popular, but I'm also not huge fan of the exhaust tips. I been thinking of FP by Borla extreme, but i cannot find much information about this system. The FP Extreme catback it is 2.5 inches... so i was hoping for some where on the line of S type.

If you're concerned about noise you might consider an axleback, it keeps the factory resonator. I have the S type axleback and love it, it is loud in the morning. And it is plenty loud at full throttle.

I didn't enjoy cutting my mufflers though i gotta say. Be much easier with a lift!

I have the S type AB and FRPP X-pipe. Cold starts are a little loud, and there's some snap, crackle, and pop at lower speeds, but damn it sounds great when you get on it.

LOL the previous owner did resonator delete so the oem resonator is long gone. I like the x pipe but the stock muffler sound just so hollow and too quit on 10 speeds. How is sport muffler compare to oem ?

I went with the Ford Performance by Borla Sport with the black tips. I’m not sure what color your car is or if it has stripes but the tips are a great accent to the car. I like this one because you can takeoff nicely from a light in front of LEO and be nice and quiet but when you get on it it is nice and loud. It’s also loud on start ups which I love because I just don’t care. :giggle: Sorry I don’t have a full on pick from behind but the tips look just fine on a GT.

I love my S Type. I have the full cat back with active. It really has a nice tone. Not too agressive except cold startup. Very mellow cruising especially in normal mode. Hit the loud pedal and it comes alive.

Nice dude, LOL mine is white oxford with twin black stripes. I must said the green color look much more appealing and stand out IMO. Does crackle or pops like in CJ videos ?

i wish my car come with active but it is the only car around with the best price and only 9000miles with 401A package!!! It is so hard to find good mustang with low millage and no mark up. The first dealer i went to have 2021 mustang gt premium. They asking for 48K out the door !!! LOL dude told me "you cannot get a better deal than this.... i just sold someone yesterday a brand new mustang for 52K". Then end up lower the price to 40K but i wasn't interested after.

I had the ford performance sport mufflers and an x-pipe and long tube headers on my 17 vert and it was loud as fuck during cold starts and when I got on it. The x pipe was a little raspy, if I could do it over I'd get an H pipe instead.

I would. I think ATAK with an X pipe is very raspy. The S type tones it down a lot. Still loud when you give it the beans but not obnoxious when cruising part throttle. Just my $0.02 of course. I plan on getting Catted Long tubes eventually and that should open mine up a little more. I might use Quiet mode a little more then LOL.
