I’ve looked and can’t find a definitive answer. Looking at replacing my stock 19x8.5 black appearance package wheels with some Ford HP PP2 wheels which are 19x9.5 with +40 offset. I know those are usually the front wheels in a staggered set with the rears being wider but different offset, but I want to know if I can run them in a square setup? Also, should I go with 275/40 or 255/40 tires? Thinking 275 but not sure if it matters.

thanks, and sorry for another fitment thread

I thought the PP2 wheels were 19x10.5" front and 19x11" rear?

But +35 or 40 should work with anything up to 10" wide, especially if you don't have to worry about clearing the Brembos.

On the actual PP2 they were, then ford performance decided to add a 9.5 and a 10" to the catalog and it just so happens that those are the optional wheels on the non HP mach 1

Yea you can.

255/40 is too short (and quite narrow).

275/40 or maybe 285/35 (common when you go to 10s)

Word of caution. These OEM 9.5s are probably quite heavy, most of the OEM wheels are. Uou might be better off with an aftermarket 19x10 ET35

Yeah reports are they are 35lbs. SVE SP2 wheels are a 10” wide clone, almost 10 lbs lighter, and very affordable. I would (and did) go that route, but in 11” :)

If you do the HPP wheels, a 265/40 is the oem size and a good choice.

This....better offsets and almost 10lbs. lighter. The Ford centercaps fit it as well.

SVE 19X10 PP2 wheel
This, and LMR gives you at least 2 color options on every wheel they sell. And my vote is 275/40 squared, 275 is the size of the PP1's and the mach 1 non HP from the factory.

These are the 11” for those SVE SP2s, but do the 10” square 285 for a street car.

19 x 9.5 +40 all around are the stock wheels on the ecoboost HPP/HP cars. They weigh 30.8 pounds each. Lighter wheels can be found for $1200 a set in multiple designs. My image has TSW wheels at 22 lbs each, +39 offset. I have a new set at +35. Fit well but beware of rocks from the front wheels. I have small fender spats and side PPF to keep my paint nice.

255/40R-19 front and 275/40R-19 rear are the standard sizes for PP1 and Mach 1, so maybe that's why they came to the OPs attention.

If you're going squared on the wheels the OP mentioned, add me to the votes for 275s.

Pulled the trigger on the ford performance hp wheels because it’s my daily driver and I’m not concerned about weight (I’m a big dude about 290lbs so that little 30lbs difference in wheels isn’t gonna matter LOL) and I also got an amazing deal on a set of 275/40zr19 Goodyear Eagle Exhilarate tires that have good reviews from what I’ve seen. Excited to get them fitted. The ford performance parts website has 20% off til the 12th so I got all 4 with a set of oem tpms sensors for $1328 total and the tires at discount tire were on sale for $191 each, plus $80 instant off from Goodyear, plus another $80 off for using my discount tire card. Got them including installation for just under $800, so that’s a steal in my book.

thanks for all the replies and advice

You can lead a horse to water, you'll never make him drink. You bought an inferior wheel that cost more money. The weight is not so much for the overall weight but for rotational mass. The SVE wheel is flowformed vs. the Ford wheel which is cast. Its your money enjoy in good health.
