So I have a question in regards to Imrc lockout. Again I am new to the platform but I hear a lot about locking these out esp for boosted applications . So after a couple days of digging I noticed a majority of the posts that say to lock them out and the tuner will tune around it are older like pre 2017 and those are for the Coyote , now I can’t find the post but some claimed they kept them and the car made way more power down low with them and that was a fairly recent post like 2 years ago if my memory is accurate . So I looked into the IMRC function and I would think in the event the system doesn’t fail it would work very well for a force fed application but I’m purely speaking out of my neck . I guess what I am asking is , do we have to lock them out for say 10psi?? Has tuning progressed from the early Coyote tuning days or am I going to have to lock these thing out when the ESS lands under the hood ?

no, not required

I am about to go from 7 to 10psi and leaving mine alone.

IMHO…keep it simple and rock on šŸ˜‹

that being said, ask your tuner…they may prefer it?

Doing my best to keep it stupid simple and not let this car swing out of control with mods like most of my others have. Blower, supporting mods, maybe a sprinkle of suspension and she done.
Once all the hardware is installed, I'll touch base and see where they point me.

If your not already doing it, install a larger radiator from the start. It’s cheap insurance and where your at(ambient temps) it’s not an if, it’s a when deal. Cars going to be all apart any way so it’s simple when the fi setup is going in. The 350 is a blast with an fi setup.

Dont overthink it, I've had a bunch of combinations on my car - Locked, unlocked imrcs, stock gen 2 manifold, ported 2018 manifold -etc, it all feels about the same at the end of the day if its just a street car. Just keep it simple and work with your tuner

Valid point it’s always mid 90s down here so I’ll add it to the list . Is there a go to brand ? I have had a Mishimoto fail in the past so I’m not the biggest fan of them . Once force inducted I was going to run water meth to keep IATs down and help pull some heat out the cylinders but my tuner said no need on e85 . I get it but I have ran meth on numerous toys , even a jetski with great results (minus the kit on the ski always leaked from being banged around ). My thought was to get it tuned on E then add the water meth kit with say 180cc -220cc nozzle maybe a tad bigger and not touch the tune .. just use the water meth as a band aid just incase and to keep pulls consistent. To add to it I asked my tuner if they add fuel to the back cylinders as they tend to go a bit leaner then the fronts and he said don’t worry about it so I’m leaning towards adding the w/m kit just for piece of mind . Anyone here run W/M kits on the Voodoo ?? I have all the components here to build a few of them lol , pumps , check valves , solenoids , lines , nozzles , controllers all just itching it go on something . Sheet I have even added some nitrometh to a kit on my jetski .. just a sprinkle around 5% but nitro w boost is potent stuff to say the least lol . No worries the 350 isn’t drinking any nitro
