If you get the Lego sets always check for available upgrades. The Senna kit for example is severely lacking on details for the minifig, has the same size tires front and rear and obviously can't use much of the original logos. Luckily the aftermarket exists to fix all these issues.

There’s aftermarket support for lighting kits too. I have the lighting kit for the Hone Alone house, it’s pretty cool. Need to replace the batteries though, my kids left the lights on all day Christmas Eve and Christmas Day

It's all "knock-off" lego (Neifliz, Cada) but here's how I've spent my winter so far: (working on another with 2 more kits waiting lol)

Those are awesome. Makes me want to look into something other just LEGO!

I really enjoy assembling these kits, they don't have any of the fancy Lego features like interactive building apps or anything, but they cost way less money. The licensed "Sauber" Alfa Romeo F1 car was around $150 CAD (so like $12.99 USD lol) and the rest were around the same amount, give or take.

The first kit was the purple "viper-ish" looking car, and it was ~3,750 pieces (!)

I just received my next 2 kits, a LeMans "hypercar" from Niefeliz and my first "real" lego kit, a Porsche 911 RSR.

So I started putting together my first "real" LEGO kit, the Porsche 911 RSR... Is it normal for the pieces to be in random, unmarked bags? There seems to be no rhyme nor reason to which parts are in which bags.

All of the "knockoff" kits have bags that numbered are for stages and/or for steps 1-50 type. The LEGO kit I'm doing is just literally random.

If this is what the legit stuff has to offer, I'll stick with the knockoffs lol.
