Yeah, I expected 750-780.

I think the past issues have been mostly solved. It has all the coolers now and not using high rev FPC helps it. I expect an improvement from 2014 GT500 and added some of the best of GT350. I will only drive street and I hope I can put down most of the power and not fishtail.
In my experience the IRS is a game changer when it comes to putting the power down on the street.

the unhappiness with the 760 is weird. I attribute it to a visual trick. Seeing 797 on a red eye leads you to feel 760 is not enough. My hellcat is pumping out 780 and its a monster on the street, loads of fun. 760 on the Shelby with the new tranny and good tires is going to be a blast. I think if there is anything to be upset about its the low torque number.

Those unhappy will need to let us know what stock car they have that has 700hp stock and doesnt weigh over 4000lbs.
This car also isnt a one trick pony. The sad part is the other cars having a ton of power cant even put it down on the street. They either need to race from a roll or race at a drag strip so really comparing their car (if they even have a car with that much power) to a car from factory with 760hp is fucking retarded.

Engine torque is mostly meaningless, especially when you have a fast-shifting DCT with lots of gears that multiply engine torque.

absolutely correct they hyped it and WAITED WAY TOO LONG!!!
What would be different in the automotive landscape if they had launched it say a year ago? Hell 2 years ago.

Who gives a shit if it's from the factory? Or not? That means warranty. Nothing else. Do you think your just going to hammer the throttle on the street. And A GT500 is going to magically stick. Like it's on rails? I promise there will be a video of a GT500 wadded up two hours after it goes on sale. Your also talking like people buy this shit for La'mon. And not to stand next to at cars and coffee. Anything the factory builds. The aftermarket replicates or improves on. And it wont cost 100 grand. Like the GT500 will. I don't know who's more full of themselves? The guys that think their rich. Because they can afford an over priced mustang. Or the dudes that say. They cant wait to smoke a GT500 with their wipple.

made over 950, dialed back to 860 for street use, 2900lbs with driver, 6 spd.

Looking forward to 760chp as a starting point, and taking it up to 8-850rwhp until i know the costs to build the DCT

You'll never satisfy everyone, so who cares about the people that are disappointed about a warranted 760 HP care that can shoot for the sky once you start to mod it. 95% of the disappointed people will never even own one. I'm going to drive mine with a big a$$ smile and give two $hits what people think about the HP. They should be focusing on the fact that its built upon the 350 and it's going to be a great drivers car that can actual turn. Not to mention that as a whole package, it's a great car. To each their own I guess.

The only thing that disappoints me are the 2015/17 headlights and that I’m sure they will have halon lights inside .

I can understand the headlight, for cost savings.

Nothing for cost, just to fit CF front support.

Exactly, the cost of redesigning and producing a new CF front support.

I have a 600 hp old junk 3v, and it's batshit and difficult to control on regular 295's, but does not spin at all in 3rd, which feels boring until you realize it's irresponsible trying to reel in 100 mph rolling burnouts on public roads.. This new GT500 will be nice and whelming with a proper IRS (which is really what makes all the difference for a platform being able to handle 1000 hp rather than 500,600) and sticky buns as it comes with. I wonder how the trans will respond to added hp and torque.

So youre one of those people disappointed your modded car has more power? What happens when the GT500 gets modded?
Also, nobody is full of themselves. $100k car is not rich.
