If there’s an inclusion in the weld that would be the first place corrosion starts to compromise the weld.
Bad welds cause corrosion stress cracking.
Better Business Bureau might be enough to get their attention.
My experience fluidyne is a don't use product. There warranty is useless!

Sadly the BBB is a toothless tiger right now. Business for the most part do not care.

Does the BBB even do anything anymore rather than just being another online "complaint hub" of Consumer griefs against XYZ Corporation/Company?

Yikes, now I regret mentioning the BBB.
If Gary Johnson is manufacturing substandard products then I guess the victims will take his company to the economic Train Station……

Sadly not really. In the past businesses treasured good BBB ratings, now not so much.

No. They send a letter out to the company concerning the complaint. They respond (which will likely be the aforementioned unpublished warranty) and the BBB sends that response to the consumer. The consumer then has a limited time to challenge the response (with documentation of their own) or the case is closed.

I used to do complaints through the BBB. Companies just don't respect it anymore and most consumers never even check the BBB rating anymore. BBB has become toothless and just doesn't really help anymore. Best response these days is the state attorney general in cases where there is potential fraud (site says one thing, company delivers something else). Issues like this would be ignored unless multiple customers complained in which a case could be made. But again, you have to have multiple customers (like hundreds) to get an AG investigation opened.
