Man for everyone that has/had ordered a new Mustang lately I feel for you folks waiting and waiting. It's what made me decide to go used/super new/low miles instead.

Well I'm definitely thinking of jumping ship to Dodge.

There's a dealer nearby with pretty much the exact car I ordered (except black instead of MP and has leather recaros) but they won't transfer it to the dealer I have a deposit with, they only want to sell it to me directly. The dealer with the deposit doesn't have a build date or VIN for me, but refuses to give me my deposit back.

It's clear neither of these dealers values my business, so I'm just about ready to tell the dealer with the challenger to get the papers ready.

Man this sucks but did know the deposit was non refundable when you signed the order? Is it on writing? Double check just to be sure.

Out of interest does any of the mustangs recently built or delivered have Magneride? As I have a GT which has now missed 6 build dates now and I swear there is a shortage of something on the spec, the only good news from the long wait is I have decided to place a order for a Mach 1 and see if that can beat my GT to the wire

Yes mine has magneride. Only other option that might have made a difference is I have custom pack 2 so the B and O stereo.
It seems to be a lottery which gets picked.

Think you could be right with the lottery thing I have option 2 as well, only other thing it could be is the Recaros but I could be clutching at straws

You would think having the Recaros would mean you need fewer chips so should get scheduled first!

Well good news, I found ford's official policy on cancelling reservations and refund of deposits, (and got my dealer to agree to honour it) so my order for a GT Premium in MP was cancelled and I pick up this baby tomorrow morning:

Build is identical to my order, other than colour and this one comes with leather Recaros.

Damn, if that’s the 401a and a 6 speed then that’s identical to my order besides the recaros. Same color too. I have yet to find one at a US dealer ANYWHERE online with 6MT/PP/Mag/B&O/401A… only the damn 10 speed autos. Good find brother

I did. It was a 5 hour drive away and 7k (CAD) more expensive and I can't believe in any way it was worth more.
