If you read closely he, and this may very well have nothing to do with anything .I’m not throwing off on anybody that chooses to do any mod he desires on his own car. Hey, it’s your car. And I recognize that folks have different tolerance levels for this sort of thing. But stuff like this is *exactly* why I keep my GT stock. I was all set to install the Roush/Ford CAI/Throttle body/tune kit but then thought about just this sort of thing. And while nobody ever turns down extra horsepower, I realistically don’t know of anywhere I can use the factory 460 anyway.
Maybe it’s an old guy thing, IDK. Probably is.
Has a Roush CIA, the fact he installed the restrictor, told me there was a tune.
Look back read, Bama Rev X tuner, looking that up, seeing 2 files. Assume different tune parameters offered.
Another choice, does the Bama Rev X tuner file need to be removed, or is it assumed it is over written, with flash back. IDK
Have a 1999 hypertech, tune in my truck. To reflash to stock. It must remove the hypertech tune first. As the module removes the tune, it defaults too the stored stock tune.
I match hardware & software components, just me. You mention, Roush/Ford CAI/Throttle body/tune kit. I would think that is a safe upgrade, that will produsce expected results.
