Can't stab the manuals. I have to leave at idle and progressively mash the gas. My best 60ft was 2.10. My friend has an auto with 3.55s gear option and ran 12.41 stock... driver mod. Since than, he added vmp tune and JLT car and ran 12.0x. The ambient temps were in the low 50s when he made his runs all on stock 20inch wheels. That made my decision to buy mine. However, I went with a stick.

OP this is why I sold my blown 05 GT. I was at Atco and a 2014 auto car was running 12.0xs @114 with a tune and splice in FRPP Xpipe. It was great DA that day. He latr that month hit 11s in negative DA. I was sold as soon as I heard about it.
This is also the reason Im going with an Auto. The auto is strong and with a proper tune shifts faster than my OK skills in a manual. Plus an auto is a selling point to the girlfriend that she can drive it.

I've tried several ways, best for me is 1,500-1,700 and then stab it! Remember stage shallow, I stage real shallow. On data logging I can see the stall goes to 2,500 once I stab it.

Thanks for the info. I went to our local 1/8th mile couple weeks ago. It was a very hot day and 2600ft DA... muggy. Ran a few times on my street tires.... even left them at 38psi I think the highest I left at was about 1500rpm.. but my 60fts on all 3 runs were 2.0s. Car didn't really spin though. I will have to do some more practicing next trip out.

With the long tubes I had to got ta different track, but still improved, 12.15 , 60' 1.89. I'll be back at the track I usually run this Friday night 7/3/15, I'm thinking maybe 12.0,s! Will let you know.
