Finding a quieter muffler

So I have the Borla S Type full exhaust. Love it. I got MAK cat deletes installed yesterday and it is race car loud. I did a flyby on the highway and my buddy described it as so loud it hurt haha. So I want to tone down this sound while losing minimal performance. Wondering if just switching to the "touring" mufflers would do that?

Agree, throw a resonator back on. I don't think you will quiet it down much swapping mufflers.

I am pretty sure the S type and touring share the same mufflers. The only difference is the touring uses the borla resonator the the S type uses a X pipe.

That's what I'd roll with...why would you want to put stock resonator back on and add 25+ lbs back on to your car?

check out dynomax super turbos. very quiet and you wont notice any performance loss.

I've gone back and forth with using the stock resonator and borla resonator. The borla resonator is about 20% louder than the stock resonator.

My experience was different. I measured stock vs Borla resonator with a dB meter when I changed out my stock exhaust. Same loudness levels and same tone. I was surprised.

I have the same exhaust, borla s type axle back with mak cat deletes and x pipe and I find that it's really quiet.. sounds great but way too quiet for me I'm trying to trade for Borla Ataks now. But yeah like others have said you could probably just reinstall the midpipe resonator to quiet it down a little.

I have a x pipe resonator from magnaflow. 11385 fits right in according to the muffler shop. Toned down my exhaust and no rasp.
